My question may seem silly but I am wondering if when you equip gear, does it have immediate effect? Or do you have to equip all six gears and gear level up before they will have effect?
Actually power is not directly improving when I add a gear, only when I get to the next gear level.
When I look at the player statistics, improvement are only into brackets before finishing gear level.

It's immediate. Some gear doesn't affect overall power (like speed and some agi gear). Some gear only adds a small amount and is almost unnoticeable. The multipliers go up a little when you upgrade a gear level so it's a lot more noticeable then.
