Thoughts on my idea for a "tournament" to satisfy everyone, would it work?

So the recent auction wars event that started has seen a great deal of negative feedback.

I have a future solution that will not only make EA / CG a lot more money but will also offer some fairness and equality to its customers.

My idea is to have several servers defined by how much each player has spent on average.

Server one would have those with unlimited funds and black Amex cards, with pockets so deep these players would create the best bidding war which EA could only dream of!!

Server two would have players that spend a ton of money, another highly profitable server for EA.

Server three, filled with those who spend a reasonable amount.

Server four, for those who spend the odd amount here and there.

Server five, free to play players.

Since it's auction style event and not really a tournament, my solution would keep most people on an even playing field, not only that but with all the high rollers on one or two servers would make EA an absolute killing in the process, lets face it it's all about the money for them anyway!
