Ship power - Jc vs Rp

Question: all things equal (ship Lvl 50, 1*), how come Jc as a pilot and subsequently his ship power is much higher at level 80 gear VIII as compared to Rp at level 80 gear XI?

How is ship power calculated?

Mods affect power quite a bit. Other than that, no telling other than the simple differences in power between characters.

Jedi Consular's Starfighter - 12,740

The maths...I don't get them.

I want to know why my AA home one at level 1 and with AA at 7 star g9 is 10,967 power and my executrix level 42 with 7 star g10 Tarkin is 10,946 power?

probably the same reason why han solo gx = ~7300 power and 5s gX = ~9200 power.

I think it's happening because there are some issues with calculating the Special Damage for some ships. Home One, the Jedi ship, and Geonosian Spy all have substantially higher Special Damage (by a factor of x10, it seems) than other ships. Probably a missed decimal point somewhere.

Yes, somehow my lvl 73 7* G8 Jedi Consular with his char strength of 6235 has a crew strength of 6996, while my lvl 80 7* G10 Ahsoka Tano with a char strength of 7364 only has a crew strength of 5422. Both are sitting in 2* ships with a 1.05 multiplier.

I've been wondering the same thing. On my capital ships for Ackbar and Mace, both ships are the same 2* lvl 50, but Home One has more power, despite Ackbar being way underpoered compared to Mace.

Home One: 10613 total power (4316 crew/6297 ship)
Ackbar: lvl 55, gear 7, no mods (character power 3842)

Endurance: 10286 power (4220 crew/6066 ship)
Mace: lvl 78, gear 10, no mods (character power 7392)

Seems like Mace should be significantly more powerful.
