A slightly more powerful basic would help - as would also with Vader.
However, I think it won't be too far down the road before they release Rebel Chewie, as already seen in-game as a boss.
As the Force Awakens version of the Falcon has been released with Rey and Fin as crew - I am sure they will release the classic Rebel Alliance version of the Falcon, that will be piloted by Han Solo (available through Pit raids) and the "to be released" Rebel Chewie.
