Which character?
I have aayla secure, qui gon jinn, princess Leah, first order tie pilot count dooku and Jedi consular
Which shall I upgrade? (All of them are 2 star other than qui gon and dooku who are 3 star)
What other character shards shall I get to add to this team to possibly replace characters? Or for example light side battles team and dark side battles team.
Any help would be appreciated.

Unless you want to drop a grand, you won't be able to get those characters to 6/7 stars.
So Dooku, FOTP and JC, because they are farmable. All are used a little in endgame right now and FOTP is one of the best attackers in the game (also the hardest to farm)
If you want to spend more cash, it's best to spend it on extra energy refreshes for more cantina shards, shipments and l/d side gear
