Challenges - Regular vs Ships

So in the regular challenges to get credits there is a hard quantity on how much you are going to get. In the ship challenge for credits you have a "possible" range, why is that? I haven't ever gotten anything other than 145k so I don't get the 100-225k range. If this tier just had a hard number of 145k, I wouldn't have thought twice about this but since it has a range in which I always receive the lower end of the reward range it annoys the heck out of me. Does everything in this game have to be a slot machine???? This game is reminding more and more of the South Park - Freemium isn't Free episode. Really starting to question why I play this game when I am annoyed more times than I have "fun".

I got 225k today. Was super chuffed . My luck is always terrible so this was welcomed.
