Let's start with the obvious: the current tourney format irritates the majority of players
for every player that got a 7 star toon, there are about 3/4000 players who did not.
for every player who unlocks the toon, there are about 3/4000 players who had to wait a month to even unlock it
Devs throw in much resources to develop and market a new toon, only to make 0.1% player happy while alienating the remaining 99.9%. With ally points competing with blue prints, participation (and morale) is going to be at a new low. Something is seriously wrong with this format!
Please change the format, suggestions are
1. flatten the payout structure, keep the current shard size, make top prize available to 100, second prize available to 200, and so on. if you want to reward the top 1 player with bragging right, just add a badge system (like many other games have done). Call him/her a "Tourney Master" or something, display it in the arena, gw, or the guild chat. The badge does no upset the game balance like shore/chirrut did.
2. add a toon shard "box" for previous tournament character in the payout. e.g. when you compete for felicity jones shards, you also get the chance to receive tie advanced shards, chirrut shards, or shore shards. I am sure participation will go up if devs implement this change!
3. more credits
it seems that you remove a credit heist when there is a tournament. tourney's credit payout is much less than credit heist AND it takes a lot of credits to move mods/upgrade toons. Credit crunch got serious after tourney was introduced.
Thanks
