As of right now I've been farming Biggs (6*) and Poggle (6*) from GW since I already have Lumi and Phasma maxed.. but I never see Poggle in any team I face or read about on here. Am I wasting my time with him? His damage UP ability seems pretty helpful and he does have ability block on his first attack.

Hes alright but nowhere near meta worthy gear is not to bad and that ability block and offense up is useful in gw apart from that your wasting your time

For damage up there are better options:
Jedi Knight Anakin (high crit damage synergy, turn meter gain)
QGJinn: offense up on dispell, calls assist

For ability block, you can also have other toons, with even more other powerful synergies:

Boba Fett (high damage, strong leader) blocks for two turns. Dispells

Tie fighter pilot: AoE buff immunity, main target blocked.
Tenacity down. Massive turn meter on negative status effects on enemies.

Etc...

Poggle was useful one year ago in a droid/Poe squad..

If your raiding Rancor or plan to be raiding Rancor forget Biggs and Poggle and get Teebo, Biggs is an easy farm I would get going with Wedge first (as without each other they are pretty ineffective)

He will be a waste in my opinion.

I haven't seen him used since Jawa Engineer entered the game.
