Yes, you definitely need to do this. Sadly, it'll be buggy until CG fixes it, but it's the best we've got for TM reduction.

The Omega upgrade only adds a higher chance of gaining TM at the end of each turn, it doesn't add to the stealth. But yes you should upgrade it. The Omega will make your raid team much faster than it was before allowing you to hammer out TMR.
