Mods Issues... need help

So I am having trouble trying to figure out ea's matrix of farming mods... its time to start farming for specific mods now and im so lost. If I go to farm potency mods with a potency main stat to helps with raids... I get defence mods... if I go and farm tenacity mods I get super poopy offensive and/or sometimes speed mods for main stat... how in the double h e double hocky sticks am I supposed to farm for specific mods if its a darn super random lottery system??? Any advice would help. I really need potency main stat mods for the raids...

Primary stats are the same based on shape of mod not the mod set.

Mod sets are just to give you a bonus of that stat and requires 2 or 4 mods from the set to get the bonus.

Single Mod set bonus is less than similar primary Stat.

Lottery!! You will get the one you want some someday just takes time and mods farming needs tweaking so after a certain number of times your gaurenteed a decent mod no matter the secondaries, good luck
