|Fake Game Update| February 4, 2016 | Fanmade | V2 | 2 new character (Grievous and Jango Addition)

Greetings Heroes!

For starters, this isn't real. This is just me writing fake design notes for things I'd love to see in the next update. My goal here is to write something people might love or hate.

This is version 2. These are small game changes, some other rewards, major popular character balancing and changes, and 2 new characters.

I suck at layouts so no table of contents, just ctrl+f the following to search for something specific:

-Character Changes
-Mace Windu
-Plo Koon
-General Grievous
-Jango Fett

Please share your thoughts and discussions in the comments.

Gifting and Dailies

Receive 1 Darth Vader Shard for logging in

Gifting is now live!

One per day per ally (35 gifts can be received max per day)

Gifts are RANDOM

Sending gifts grants you 35 keys. These keys are used to open gifts sent to you.

This is so you prioritize active friends, and can only receive gifts if you sent some.

Prize pool contains: (Higher reward, lower chance).
  • One random character.
  • One random Character Shard.
  • 1 Darth Vader Shard. 5 Crystals.
  • One 5/4/3/2/1 star training droid.
  • One 5/4/3/2/1 star Credit Droid.
  • 100 Gems (Cantina, Galactic War, or Arena).
  • 50 Energy Pack.
  • 30 Cantina Energy Pack.
  • 1 Arena battle.

General Changes
  • Damage Over Time effects can now defeat a character instead of bringing them down to 1hp
  • Finishing blows that call in an assist, will give the assisting take 100% chance to hit. This is so the first attack does not leave them at 1hp, to risk the assisting attack to miss leaving the opponent alive
  • Dodging an attack will now be able trigger a Counter Attack
  • Healing an ally who has Healing Immunity will remove Healing Immunity. (The ally is still not healed, the debuff is just removed after a heal is tried)
  • Buffs that "stack" will prioritize the higher duration. For example: Poggle gives Count Dooku 3 turns of Offense Up. Count Dooku has one turn left of Offense Up and dodges an attack and gains Dooku's leadership ability of offense up. Before, Offense Up would expire since Poggle's wore off, instead Dooku will retain the new Offense up. TL;DR Buffs won't go away if you just got them in case of overlap.

New Characters

grievous_by_vegasmike.jpg

General Grievous

Dark, Tank

"High health, high armoured, multi attack based tank who grows weaker and loses limbs as he is worn down in a battle. Very very vulnerable to Special Damage"

Stats: In comparison to http://www.swgohcantina.com/character-max-stats/
  • 18500 Health
  • 115 Speed
  • 2000 Attack
  • 0 Special Attack and Special Crit Chance (Not special damage in kit)
  • 0 Physical Critical Chance
  • 270 Armor
  • 25 Armor Pen
  • 0 Special Resistance
  • 0 Resist Penetration
[*]

**Basic: Cybernetic Saber Strike** - Grievous strikes with his lightsabers dealing physical damage. This attack has a 75% chance to strike a second time, a 50% chance to strike a third time, and a 25% chance of striking a fourth time.

**Passive: More Machine than Man:** General Grievous cannot critically strike and whenever Special Damage is dealt to him, he has a 30% chance of having the Exposed Debuff applied to himself. General Grievous gains Offense Up, Defense Up, Speed Up, Evasion Up, during his first turn. The opposite is applied when he reaches 75%, 50%, and 25% health for the first time. (Order: Evasion Down, Speed Down, Defense Down, Offense Down)

**Special: Whirling Storm** - Grevious grants all allies Defense Up and gains Retribution for 1 round. When Retribution expires naturally, physical damage is dealt to all enemies inflicting a Damage Over Time.

**Passive: Multiple Limbs, Multiple Lightsabers:** - General Grevious takes 50% reduced damage from Physical: additional attacks, enemy assist attacks, counter attacks, and area attacks. When Grievous reaches 75%, 50% and 25% hp for the first time, the reduced damage bonus is reduced by 10% and Grievous loses a chance of his additional attacks. (Order: 25% chance lost, 50% chance lost, 75% chance lost).

**Leader: Supreme Commander of the Droid Army of the Confederacy of Independent Systems:** -
General Grievous and Droid Allies gain 10% Evasion, 10 Speed, and as long as an allied Droid is alive, General Grievous gains Stealth.

Explanation: So obviously a "boss" like character who loses limbs and buffs as his health is lowered. He starts with 4 buffs, and 4 arms, and gains a debuff and loses one arm for every 25% increment of health lost for the first time (cannot be gained back when healed). Very very very powerful when left alive, easily beaten when focused down. Extremely vulnerable to Special Attacks.

Jango4.jpg

Jango Fett

Dark, Attacker, Scoundrel

"High attack, high speed character specializing in taking down Jedi and Tanks."

Stats: In comparison to http://www.swgohcantina.com/character-max-stats/

  • 14500 Health
  • 105 Speed
  • 3000 Attack
  • 1500, 20 Special Attack and Special Crit Chance (Not special damage in kit)
  • 400 Physical Critical Chance
  • 210 Armor
  • 30 Armor Pen
  • 0 Special Resistance
  • 0 Resist Penetration
[*]

**Basic: Dual WESTAR:** - Deals physical damage to an enemy applying Exposed and has a 40% chance of attacking again. This chance is doubled against Jedi

**Special: Wrist-Mounted Flamethrower:** - Deals special damage to all enemies, applying a Damage Over Time and a 40% chance of inflicting Speed Down. This chance is doubled against Jedi.

**Passive: True Mandalorian Survival:** - Every time Jango takes damage, he is healed over the next 3 turns for 100% of that damage (33.33% each turn). This effect can stack up to 5 times.

**Leader Ability: Best Bounty Hunter in the Galaxy:** - When entering battle, Jango will mark a random enemy for death. When that enemy falls, Jango and his allies are healed for 50% of that target's max health spread across all allies. Jango will mark a new target when a marked one falls.

Explanation: High damage character prioritizing on bringing one target down at a time. The bounty "claimed" when taking down an enemy is now a heal, instead of credits, just for the game. Instead of the nicely designed Mandalorian Resolve Boba has, Jango's is different in the form of a long term heal. Beating him down slowly will not do you any good.

Thanks xD still working my creative mind.

Trying to come up with something new that's not in the game for him.

I was writing Lightsaber Luke's but came up pretty blank. He is kinda boring lol (Not considered a Jedi by the film until he faced Vader technically)

nice read. Ackbar needs more hp too. As does Tarkin. For slow units, wish I could use them more tbh.

Funny that you mention that. I was looking at character stats and thought to myself the same thing.

But then.. I realized, thematically that makes sense. They aren't really front line fighters, they are an Admiral and a General, they usually sit in the back giving strategic commands, they are technically equipped for battle hence the lack of armor and a blaster rifle.

It makes sense that they should be powerful leaders that sit behind their units in battle.

I think a meta where you'd protect the leader could be in interesting one that needs more flushing out, but I otherwise understand where you 're coming from.

This is sweet! I love jango fett, i would pay $10 for that version with those cool abilities, but grevious is a little crazy lol, he wouldnt be good wxcept on a droid team but maybe he should gain stealth or evasion up when he goes below 50% health because he always runs away when he is about to lose

He has evasion up naturally. He gains stealth on a droid team because he uses them as a "sacrifice" common and thematic to his character xD meaning he's left for last.

I tried to grasp that nature.

    Thanks though xD

I like Old Ben, he is very disruptive with his special, if he dies your team gets massive buffs, and he has the HIGHEST tank stats in the whole game!

Well, Rey, who has a 3 hit attack, has an attack stat of 4000. Grevious has half that at 2000. He also can't crit.

Also he gets less attacks as he is wounded in battle.
