How about making guilds user-friendly????

We had guilds rammed down our throats. It's the only way to get the best character in the game and best way for most of the gear you need at higher levels.

Then why in gods name can we not contact guild members directly.

The chat is useless since all I see is who promoted or acquired what. USELESS information that quickly knocks any actual posted guild information out of the chat.

We get a notification when a Raid is started and yet we can't post in that notification any information about how to handle the specific raid.

The guild chat is a joke please do something to make this better.

A message goes in your inbox when the raid starts.

A Generic message goes to your inbox. It would be nice to tell your guild what you want to do In the raid. Weather it's turn order or damage limits or whatever.

If you just turn off updates, you should still be able to see regular chat (unless you're a minor). Many guilds are on Line or something anyway. There might be a blurb in the guild description under Manage.
