Google Play failing to connect?

Game loads to that point and fails to go further. My network connection seems fine or I could not post lol. I have restarted, etc.

    I cleared my cache and can login now. Weird thing is, I had just completed node 9 on gw, upon re entering, it's uncompleted. I also remember the victory screen, then no advancement to rewards so restarted. Very odd.

    the same thing is happening to me and clearing the cache has not worked. when I go into google play games app it has no internet connection yet I do have it and everything else works. I have unistalled it and reinstalled it and is the same. I even did a master reset on my phone and still the same. anything I can do to get google play to work again?
