Lando receiving 2 turns in a row with AOE

I am level 85 and ranked around 25 in the squad arena. I am having an issue where Lando is having 2 hits in a row with his AOE when the opponent has a full squad - Wedge, Biggs, Lando, Royal Guard and Palpatine. How can his turnmeter go up so fast?

Wedge lead ability Rebel Heroism- Rebel allies have +30% Offense, recover 15% of their Max Health and 10% Turn Meter on a Critical Hit, and recover 25% of their Max Health whenever they defeat an enemy.

If he is getting 5 crits adding 50% tm for him to get another turn.

Thanks. Well that makes sense. I have a rebel team myself but I noticed many opponents teams players have turns first. How can I make my players have the first turns?
