Kylo Ren may be the ultimate Vader/Boba counter

Ironic no? Picture this. Your Zader and Boba stick 4 dots, speed down, and ability block with their openers. Congratulations, you just handed Kylo 60 speed, 90% offense, and 300% defense. I'm curious to see just how hard their executes will hit him at that point.

Pretty hard, you'd better hope. With all those dots ticking he'll almost certainly reset his cooldowns at the start of every turn.

Perhaps he is. But if they have Death Trooper or Palpatine it won't matter that much, and Kylo would rely on his teammates for cleanses or taunts when needed. Anyway, it's good to see more variety in the meta, unlike those pesky Wiggs teams. Ugh.

I face a team with Kylo daily... even with the rework still not impress.

Just faced one in GW and left him for last as usual because I thought he's not that tough with rework and I was proven wrong after 5 basics from my team and boba applying maybe a bit too much debuffs, he stopped taking damage from me(9-100) and one-shotted boba and his execute which I was setting up for and hoped would be a fallback for his revive to come back dealt... less damage than a no buff no debuff enemy

He'll net a loss of speed. Sure he gets 60, but then all his speed is halved. But First Order doesn't need much speed, they've got all that Turn Meter mayhem now

Good! The top guy in my arena shard uses Vader/Boba and he thinks he's invincible. Can't wait to bring him down a few notches with Kylo.... Watch out Siskin!

Speed down is -25% speed, so he may actually come out ahead depending on his base speed. The point being, he doesn't care about speed down. stun, and ability block are the only debuffs that really hurt him. Daze shuts down retribution too, but you aren't going to care because his other special will stun whoever it doesn't one hit kill.

They're still affected by all of the + defense buffs he'll have when you're done setting the execute up.

I'm not so sure about that, at least in Boba's case.

Also, Deathmark is going to be the new black I suspect.

Notice in the first battle that Boba's execute crits Kylo for a whopping 11k?

That's why kylo is concerning. Basic rebel and Jedi squads might light him up. It's hard to beat zader when your are sitting in the 100s. He may be okay but definitely not in a 1st order squad and there are better options.
