Got an body the same problem with the connection?
There is just the searching for Updates Screen but nothing happen. Its frustrating. I m waiting now for 3 hours to connect...

I cannot connect either. The game starts out saying "there is a new client available," so I click "ok," then it tries to take me to Safari. If I go back to the game, it stays on the searching for Updates Screen. It has been like this for a couple of hours.

Try going to your app store and updating the game, you may have to delete it and reinstall, that's what I had to do on my tablet.

I've been having the same issue since I upgraded my phone this morning. I loaded the app from my app backup (through itunes). I tried deleting the app and installing from the App Store but when I do that I get assigned a new player ID and have to start from scratch.

If that's the case, then you are playing on a guest account it sounds like, you need to load your normal account and,bind to Game Center or google play , then it will save your progress that way.
