Magnaguard makes sense because

Geo TB most likely in May, requiring seps and Magna is the closest thing you can have without giving away GG. He could be Hoth Rebel soldier of TB)

His kit also seems to be very important for F2P to earn Padme (GG, B2, Magna +2)

The last two calendars came before the start of the month. January was the most recent that came out late, but even then it came out on Jan 2 and that might have been a holiday delay

It usually comes out in +/- 2 days from the 1st of every month
