As all of you know, soon the cap will increase to max lvl 80.
It will cost i m sure a lot of credits and a lot of training droids. So we shoild focus on the best toons.
So which toons should we lvl to 80 first ?
The best one. Which until we see how the recent changes that were announced impact characters we have zero way of knowing who is best to take to 80 first.
If Advantage gives you 100% crit... the first character that crosses my mind as top is Phasma.
All of characters are likely to be improved in their survivability. It means that high level characters are more likely to be viable. FOST should shine in this meta, it's a pity that he is too hard to farm. If your characters are going to live longer, may be ST Han will become the new best tank. Moreover, tanks in general shall become more useful, while RG is going to reduce his value: his main goal was to prevent killing your squad members before you go and if we are promised to be able to do at least a move by every character, we will be able to have time to activate taunt while everyone in your team is still alive.
Anyway, it's just a speculations. Only time will show.
I'll have 7 characters that make up my arena and GW together so I'll focus on those first and the others later on. The cap is probably still 3-4 weeks away but I'm still using my credits now so I won't have much saved when the cap does come

Han is already the best tank well for my team setup anyway. Although tank is the wrong word for him. More of the TM god. And that should get better if the changes allow him to survive longer

What sort of team do you run han with? Mines maxed out almost (lvl 70, all gear the lvl cap allows, 50/100). Wondering where to put him

It's up to you really. Most people here would say Han is only worth using with ackbar as lead so he taunts faster - I don't think they're wrong but that's only one way to use him. If you use him with ackbar then he is being used as a 'tank', he taunts quickly to allow others to go before dying.
I don't use him in that way, not for protecting others. I use him only to maximize his TM usage. So I use him without ackbar. At his slow 121 speed because I feel I can get more TM gains this way. At 121 he's a whole 20 slower than the next slowest Im my team but I prefer it that way. It means that when he does taunt after everyone else has gone, they gain maximum Potential TM.
For eg; if Lumi goes at 118, only 3 slower and then gains 30 TM from han, then a lot of TM is being wasted and she goes straight after him. So she can't even attempt to heal him because he wouldn't have been hit yet. But if I have qgj leading and lumi at 141, then before Han taunts her TM is low. She gains 30 from the taunt, another 20 if he's hit once, 20 more if hit twice so it's 70 TM gain. If somehow Han is still alive then she can use the heal, if he died then it's still fine because he's done his job and my whole team is ready to attack again before any of my opponents get a second turn.
I love using him that way. As the slowest. To get more out of his TM Magic
I agree with this. Best (somewhat) risky decision I ever made was going all in on ST Han. 2nd best was Teebo. Talk about total turn meter manipulation when paired with Phasma! That is, if they live long enough to get the strategy in play.

That seems like a smart plan! Lately I've been using qgj, lumi, sid, Yoda, and phasma in arena (get as high as 45-53 most days but fall to like 90-108 over the day haha) been using phasma just for victory march. Could probably fit han in though. Maybe for Yoda as mine is only 5*, useful for resisting a dooku stun on qgj though
Stun and counters are relatively safe bets...may not be top but at least you may always win when in front of good RNG. Also, ifor a short while, procs rates increase at they are your level 80s but others have a few chars with lower levels.
Also, good leader abilities are also safe bets. There may be 5 good leaders. You can't go totally wrong if you have those leaders max to start with.

Speaking of Finn, I actually faced a Resistance team with a Poe lead this morning in GW, and Finn critted me for 6.5k, I was shocked when I saw that.
