Why can't I train my guys past level 70 now???

I'm confused; with the last update I can increase my player level past 70 but it still says max level for all my level 70 characters. I thought the point was to train them to 80 now. Somebody please advice?

    You can only train your characters to a level equal to your player level

    It's okay to have forgotten - we've been stuck at level 70 for a long time. A lot of people forgot after we were stuck at 60 too.

    I don't think that is something you just "forget", but everyone is different.
