Help me GoH forumers, you're my only hope.

Started playing around December. Only recently I've realised that rather than try and get every character I can, I should concentrate on upgrading certain ones. Anyways I'm currently level 70, my top 6 toons are:-

Level 63 IG-86
55 Sid
63 Vader
54 JC
58 Chewie
53 GS

All their gear is the first purple ones. My question is, who should I focus on upgrading or should I get my other toons gear level to purple first? If it helps I have no desire to go for the #1 spot in the arena. I'm happy in the 1500s for the time being.

    1 - Train your characters. Your top 5 should all be level 70. Heck, your top 10 should by now.

    2 - Vader, JC and Chewie are all very bad.

    Definitely work on GS and Sidious...they are heavily used in top 20.

    3 - Gear your best ten heroes, 5 light 5 dark, but mainly focus on your 5 arena heroes.

    4 - Arena is a great way to unlock more, new characters both by getting tokens for arena shipments as well as crystals to spend on energy for other character shards and gear.

    Getting top 500 isn't hard, and you should definitely be doing this at least.

    First, there is no right way to play the game. It's here for your enjoyment. So where you want to go depends on you. If you like GW then an assortment of folks can be helpful. Loading up on healers is an easy way to get started with an aim of clearing GW every day.

    If you like certain characters, then go for them. It could be Jedi (with an eye toward Yoda), droids, night sisters, sith, resistance, first order, etc.

    Current arena meta is considered to be speedy dps. Frankly I think it's a lie and any decent team with synergies can be viable.

    If your just looking at a mash up of characters, some are more easily to fit in about any group (sid, gs, Lumi, etc).

    I guess I'm saying its wide open and do what you think will be fun for you.

    It's like I said in my original post, I've only recently realised that I should be concentrating on certain characters rather than trying to get shards for characters I haven't got yet.

    That's my top 12. Anyone I should swerve off and go for? I'm not interested in the Arena, mainly just wanna do the LS and DS missions and the GW.

    Focus on:
    - Luminara (IG-86 when she's done)
    - GS
    - Sid
    - Royal Guard
    - Dooku
    for PVP.

    I agree totally with the above group. I am number 5 spot in the arena and I do not run a healer with RG.

    Give up on Darth Vader for now. His shards can only be farmed from achievements or shard shop.

    To get through GW, you will need first to gear up your A team, then slowly start on another B team to finish it off.

    Most of all have fun.

    If i were you, what i will do is this

    GW token - Lumi first then IG88
    Arena token - Sid
    LS/DS - RG
    Cantina - GS

    Meanwhile, just use all your energy to farm gear for this 5 toons
