I missed the Rey train now what?
So I missed farming Rey. Wow. That feels like a mistake. Now what?
If I farm now it will take months. New meta by then I'm sure.
What would you do? I have fifty of the first 80 to shards to activate her?

But even without Rey there are solid choices for your team, Rey is simply the highest damaging, but also most squishy.
Otherwise. Yea. All the damage dealers are fairly equivalent.
I started farming Rey after the guild update, you can buy a lot of shards from guild store, and there are 3 Hard Nodes for her shard as well. It's much easier to starred her now.
My Rey just reached 6* today.
Depending on how fast the raids go and how frequently she appears, she's arguably faster than Cantina or Arena shipments in some cases. You can get fifteen shards in one day, whilst saving up for another five the next day!
Hmmm. I didn't realize she was falling that frequently in the shipments. I will keep an eye out. 15 / day is much better than the 8 I was estimating. (3 hard mode, 5 from guild store).
Some days she is in multiple shipments. Other days she's not there at all. My guess is that you can get like 20-25 shards weekly from guild store.
As was pointed out, there are several alternatives to Rey. I say go for all of them, over time.
True the meta will change again but honestly you will always need a high damager even if it ends up just in raids or galactic war. Sidious was always on my arena team until he wasn't anymore, but he has so much versatility (the death heal) that I use him for GW every day.
Great for PvP. Great for GW.
And as noted with the extra help from guild shipments there is no reason not to go after her.

It was suggested in another reply that Jawa Engineer is a good answer on a droid team. I think that's the route to take here. ... Just another slow farm to get those JE shards.
Also, I am really learning towards spending guild currency on gear. I need 18 Furnaces (9) immediately. So that may minimize the amount of currency I can spend on fast farm Rey.
What did you do to get her in three weeks? Is that some thing like three refreshes every node for a total of 9 refreshes daily? Yikes!
Well I refreshed the guild shop twice everyday and I refreshed every hard node twice but if you remember when we had the double rewards I did all the 100 crystal refreshes on those days I think it was 4 or 5 refreshes each day, that's how I got her so fast
In the meantime, invest in her many counters--Old Daka, Royal Guard, Captain Phasma, Darth Sidious, IG-86, Geonosian Soldier, IG-88, Ventress, Qui-Gon Jin, and pretty much anyone who can assist or debuff or stun or do a lot of damage in one hit. It's almost like she has, like, a lot of counters and is kind of balanced or something within the context of the game as a whole...
Crazy.
I wasn't using crystals then. Crystals are the great equalizer.
