In order to write off taxes for charity you must contribute directly to a registered nonprofit. EA is not such a company.
I have also considered writing off as a gambling loss but that will not work. This game is considered a consumable/service and is instead subject to many state taxes.
So instead of writing off - depending on your state - you pay taxes.
But on a seris note, you actually can use things that you volenteer in for charity as tax write offs as I have done it many times before, and you are volunteering to go the event ( not that it would really work in video game), it's all in the wording you give, you also need to know which charity, which is a question I didn't ask.

If not, then it's not a tax write off for you.
If EA is paying the charity then it's a tax write off for EA.
Sorry dear.

I like the thinking though.
You can't tell it a joke?

But some simple minded person might take it srs and go by HR Block next year trying to do a write off on a EA charity.
That's all.
