Dooku Still Broken

Even after today's update, he's still broken. I got to the last man standing on both teams. Both were at full health and same level.

4* Sidious vs 3* Dooku

Sidious gets one attack.
Dooku gets 8 attacks. He attacks twice first, twice on counter, and then four more times consecutively.

When is it enough? Does it take a mass exodus to fix it like what just happened in Swtor?

    Well 1v1 he kicks tail. But when he's aimed at by the whole team or stunned prior he's dealable. Unfortunately you were in the position Dooku wants you in!

    Just so I understand this correctly is this what happened?

    1) Dooku attacks first, then gets a bonus attack. Bonus attack adds turn meter.

    2) Sidious attacks once.

    3) Dooku counters, then gets a bonus attack. Bonus attack adds turn meter.

    4) By this point his 2 counters have given him enough bonus turn meter to give him his next turn.
    And of course he then he gets another bonus attack and gets bonus turn meter again.

    Are you then saying Dooku takes another normal turn before Sidious?

    Sounds like you either got unlucky with the bonus turn meter gains on Dooku or he's still bugged because the proc rate should only be 25% now, not 100%.

    Exactly. Dooku gets more turns than any other character. Dooku is a must have for any group. Attacking first and often puts his single attack damage higher than any other single attacker in the game.

    The fact that Dooku is "must have" tells me he should be toned down, imo. And truly, EVERY team I run into in GW has Dooku on it, and almost every team I challenge above me in arenas. I'm sure as **** farming him, that's for sure. There's a reason EVERYONE is using this guy. The only *reliable* counters to him that I've seen are lucky pulls from Chromium packs.

    Dooku is really the only thing thats ruined the game for me so far. Pretty much any setup with Dooku+ 2 healers + Chewie is all but unbeatable for me. If you try and focus Dooku first, Chewie taunts you away while the healers bring him up to full (all the while he's double strike countering you and tossing in near 100% stun rates during his numerous turns). If I ignore Dooku and try for the healers, he just stuns and attacks non stop till everythings dead before either of the heals can be focused down (while chewie taunts away from heals).

    So far I can build a team to beat any other type of squad (similar power level of course) that has no Dooku in it, but Dooku is impossible for me to deal with.

    I like chewie but he is far from unbeatable. Most often I kill him first... Even if there are 2 healers. But then I have luke and luke likes to crit face

    Ventriss makes double healer chewie teams look pathetic. Focus dooku, remove taunt, finish dooku, now their team has such pathetic damage you can just click auto after dooku is down. The large majority of teams I face are the same boring setup, chewie, dooku, 2x heals, +X. In a week of playing I have only lost once and drawn once the former to some high damage jedi team I was not expecting and the latter to an Old Ben super turtle team. Currently working my way past rank 50.

    Of course I do use my own dooku... but I wouldn't mind if they reduced his base speed. At level 44 with max gear it is 139, 40% faster than average plus all the turn meter procs, counter attacks, and bonus attacks.

    I said it earlier, these teams with the same set up have been a boon to my rank. I have been consistently in the top 50. Dooku can't survive against high damage, spike him with high crit characters. I personally use droids or the fives assist attack for more damage. The double heals is lol. It uses their turn to heal for less than my spikes. Their lost turn for heals is 0 dmg on me.

    Just got into a draw in the Arena again. Not because I was weaker, but because it first took forever to take Barriss down (she again ignored the no-Heal debuff from Sidious) and then because all those attacks from Dooku ate up the remaining seconds. Loosing with a sum of around 250% HP left only because one enemy character just uses up all the remaining time on its own is just stupid.

    Once you guys are endgame you will look back and laugh over your complaints about Dooku. There are characters that do more damage in one special than dookus regular attack, counter attack and bonus attack put together at level 60.

    Hes not OP he is what he is in game which is a counter attacking specialist just like chewies a tanking specialist & barriss is a great healing specialist he isnt OP HES PRACTICALLY useless if you dont attack him to til the end or consistenly stun him learn how to work around it.

    My main team right now is Barriss, Luminara, Dooku, Sideous, Asajj. How I deal with Dooku depends on the makeup of the other team. If they have a weak healer I usually knock that out first and leave Dooku. I also generally leave him until Barriss blows her special.
    If the Dooku is not leveled and geared up and there's only one Jedi healer, sometimes I take him out on the first turn as follows. My Dooku stuns their healer. Then everyone focuses fire on Dooku. Luminara's special even at level 48 can crit for 3k and often wipes him right off the map. Otherwise, use other characters with high offense.
    If Barriss is not on the opposite team, take out the healer, then use Sideous and just wear him down. He's annoying, but usually not a big problem unless he gets very lucky.
    I do agree that the double-counters need to go. A counter-attack should be one attack only.

    Is that true vs a 7* Dooku? I haven't seen one Dooku over 4* yet and, at 4*, he's really strong.

    So today I had dooku attack my consular 4 times in a row off of a counter attack. If it happened just once I'd call myself unlucky... Three consecutive attacks on the same toon happens regularly 4 attacks on the same toon happen 1-2 times daily. Even dooky supporters have to admit that's a little ridiculous....

    I could just have horrible luck RNG wise but honestly the guy is overpowered. Individually his abilities are not so bad but the way they synergise is rudiculous. Bonus attacks and counter attacks should be damage only. They should not proc anything, affect turn meters, or be able to trigger additional bonus attacks. Take that crap away and increase damage by 5%, hp by 10%, and reduce lightning cool down by one.

    He is more than a glass cannon. He's a spiked glass cannon, because every time you hit him you get hit 1-4 times in return. Again, it's the synergies between multiple abilities all had by one guy

    Dooku gets way too many attacks, period. Because I hate his power I will not use him. I see no point in an over-powered character. He should be nerfed or scrapped. It's the only character I would be happy see removed from the game.

    1v1 Dooku is probably the best. The only other character I lose 1v1 against is Fives.

    Game used to be fun when it wasn't a grind... if I wanted a grind I would have went and played old school Everquest or some Korean MMO!

    Pretty sure he still counters and double attacks through ability lock.

    I like to throw a stun and heal immunity on him out of the gate and have my team focus him. He's got pretty low hp.

    Gods, if he gets nerfed you nerf herders will just find another character to complain about. Eventually it'll be Leia, and then Barriss, and oh no if Barriss gets nerfed everyone will start complaining why does Luminara do so much damage and is an amazing healer?! Popsicles guys, just play the game and learn how to fight different opponents. All the better if it's the same opponent, once you learn to deal with it then everyone will be cake for you then, right? I've got my strategy for it, will not be sharing that though because hey, gotta be competitive right?

    Leia is legit broken at the moment though. Once her proc is fixed to not be 100% she will be average at best.

    People still complaining about Dooku? I admit he's a pain in the ****, but nuke him down and he's done. My main gripe against the guy is I've been stuck at 29/30 to get him to 4* for 3 days. That's 18 tries without a shard drop, plus I've done the 50 refresh twice too, so that's 24 tries in total without a shard drop. Drop rates are horrendous for me. I've been doing 20+ cantina battles for Luke per day since global launch and I've got 13 shards still.

    Stop whining like babies the same problems you have with dooku I never have so that tells me you all suck, suck it up, either take him out quick (hes a glass cannon & has seriously low health) OR refrain from using AOE attacks & wait til hes the last one standing to finish him. He literally gives me no trouble at all. You females scream OP for everything its ridiculous.

    If you had those three characters and still lost to Dooku then it sounds like you haven't levelled up your characters or their gear/skills enough.

    My Lumi had a 1v1 with Dooku today and still came out on top even with all his stuns and bonus attacks.

    Dooku is God at beating down people lower lvl than you. But at lvl 60 he only hits a bit harder than a healer. At that point he's a great situational anti-Jedi play but is far from broken and there are ways to deal with him. To be honest it's actually the other characters that need to be brought to his level of synergy and concept.

    Well, I've noticed changes in Dooku and Barriss when I'm using them, but defending team seems to get the favor. Dooku hasn't had a bonus attack in 10 matches (pvp, global, and progression) and Barriss 's invigorating strike has only crit healed once. Meanwhile, defender Dooku gets bonus attacks every other turn and counter, and defender Barriss crit heals 2 out of 3 invigorating strikes. I'll give a pass for odds in a couple matches, but more than that, something seems off.

    1) He is not over-powered. Enough people said about this. He is indeed powerful in the lower levels, but definitely becomes less effective as you level up. I am in the high 40's and while he is still a pain to deal with, he is no longer the game changer. For those who mention how he butchered you in a 1:1, the fact that you were in that position means you had already lost the game. For those who say Dooku attacked eight times, it happens. I just think, 'bad luck, sh#t happens' and move on
    2) It sets a wrong precedence. This is also mentioned a lot by many players. If CG caves in and nerf an hero due to "popular demand," then expect a future wave of nerf requests which will eventually water down the game and make every hero perform the same, but with just different skins. In addition, it is quite clear that people who complain about Dooku (and Barris) have not come across Old Ben, who is incredibly powerful and the hero that I want the most (hint: look at my ID and profile picture). Pairing him with a couple of healers almost assures you that you will run out of time.
    3) It's not fair. What is more unfair? Aside from few lucky draws, free players complaining a paid hero to be "over-powered" vs. people who paid hard-earned cash not getting their money worth in return? Let those few P2W players enjoy what they paid for. They deserve it. I am fine with them dominating the top leaderboard while I enjoy this game. The great thing about this game is that it still offers other ways to remain competitive - albeit with a bit more patience
    4) "It's the economy, stupid." Most importantly, at the end of the day, someone has to pay the bill - i.e. the cost to run servers, pay the developers, etc. It is that very small population of players with generous pockets that enable the majority of players to enjoy this great game for free. If you fail to incentivise them or nerf an hero after being purchased, why would they continue to spend money on this game? Chase them out for the sake of "balance" and guess what will happen after that. Either CG will have to jack up the price of future packages because there is a smaller population to draw cash from or EA will pull the plug if the game fails to generate enough revenue. What a shame. People failing to see the larger picture will drive away the cash cows and slowly kill the game
    5) Join the Dark Side. If you truly think Dooku is over-powered, then why not pay a small sum and unleash his power against your opponents? Was the Rebel Alliance on equal grounds fighting against the Empire? Bu, bu, but, that's not the point here! Well, no one is forcing you to play this game. Besides, can I remind you to re-read Point 3 and 4?

    No problem with dooku. I level 43 and only have one healer Barriss. My team is Luke, Chewie, first order pilot, and Briggs. My power is just over 10k I gotta say first order tie pilot is FREAKING awesome. He does like 2k hits most of the time. With the assist from Briggs helps out against Dooku and takes him down pretty fast. Having 3 healers on my team I hit the wall in PVP really early and wasn't moving up because of the other teams with Dooku Cad Bane etc...
