@op this is a bad idea.

P2P still has a huge advantage: 3 months before a character is available f2p? Then they put the good ones like Shore and Baze on 9b, where hardly anyone can farm them and it will take months to actually farm them anyway.

6+ months of f2p not having a viable version of the toon is already a HUGE advantage for you.

I don't know if you noticed, but the only way to boost your ability mats materials is through refreshing omega battles or buying cantina refreshes. You can get your mats faster that way. You can buy your ships all up to 7 star and farm zetas from fleet by paying to win in fleet.

This is one extra advantage that doesn't need to be put into play. Buying your way through the game as is already gives you plenty.

I already have my fleet 7*. I spend 100% of my fleet coins on zetas and get on average a full zeta every two weeks. But that's not fast enough. And I can't keep up with omegas if at double refreshes on the weekend events.

There are ftp that can compete on my top ten now that zetas and the cap raise have been out awhile. This is ridiculous, they're getting a false sense of security there. It's time to send them back.

I'd also like to see perks for certain dollar amounts invested. Like a free zeta or type A mod for each $1000 spent. Reward the people that support the game.

Do you realize how you sound? Wow.... Just...... Wow!

You know you can get a maximum of 6 Zeta in a team? (5 unique and 1 lead). Even if whales had infinite zetas, you would still have a max of 6 Zetas in a team and honestly, GK+Chaze is still one of the best combo so probably at most 3 Zeta in team.

I am a small spender (21 day crystal subscription), and I won't buy Zeta if their price is anywhere near the he Omega level.

But if Zetas could bring money, and Devs would compensate it by making some key toons (Shore, Baze) easier to get for the mortals, I would be delighted.

The hardest team I face is Zaul EP (really fast) GK Chaze. Guess what 1 Zeta...

I have to agree with this. I'd buy a vault just for refreshes.

I also think a level cap increase is sorely needed. We need to keep the riff-raff where they belong. F2P Thinking that they should be in the top 10 because they have a few zeta characters is absolutely not acceptable.

If F2P want to be "competitive" let them do it amongst themselves from 50 and below.

I see enough complaining about zeta drop rates. Just imagine what it would be like if you paid crystals for another chance and still got no zetas?

At the very least just put the MK3 Holoprojectors in daily challenges.....the game is evolved enough so that we don't need a gear bottleneck at G7/G8 now...

Who wins between in arena between someone who has 104 G11 and 20 Zeta vs 5 G11 1 zetas? The one with the better mods. And mods farming is much different than gear.

The thrifty spending argument is not a legitimate argument.
Nobody that invests in this game as a player is including the result of that investment in their retirement portfolio. It is a hobby. Like casinos, golf, fishing etc. Those all cost money too. So, the F2P want it both ways. They invest in other hobbies and don't want the P2P to have advantage for investing in this swgoh hobby. Makes as much sense as the SWGOH spenders telling the golf nuts they can't buy better clubs than us or telling the fishing nut he can't buy a better boat than us because we spend our hobby money on SWGOH.

No, my argument is: spending money is does not entitle you to beat FTP. It allows you to have more endurance and be faster in farming. But if you farm CUP and Mob enforcer, don't whine.

Agree somewhat. But, P2P should be able to spend their way, quickly, out of bad spending decisions. It takes too long waiting for 20 Zetas.

It's true. But What you are talking about amounts to legalizing point shaving in sports.

It messes up the integrity of the competition for love of money. Sure gambling on football is half of the fun, but when you start interfering with the competitive aspects of the game to make more money... The game goes to hell, people stop watching it, and it dies off.

This is exactly what will happen if they make zetas buyable.

As I stated earlier, they already gave you a way to increase your zeta intake via crystals, and you stated you took advantage of it. If you take first in fleet and can farm the ship challenge you are getting zetas at the fastest possible rate that they want ANYBODY to get them.

Rules of economics: supply and demand. Keep the supply low and the demand skyrockets. By doing so you have to spend your money on ships and building materials, and refreshes every day to fight your way up top. And even if you don't, the fact that you already have means someone else is going to.

Small consistent income is much better than one big lump sum. This suggestion is just straight up horrible for the game in every way. It will drive players away and end up hurting their bottom line as well.

I dont mind not being able to compete with people above me i spent 20 because i liked the game and wanted to support it with what i could. I spend zero time chasing meta and just farm the toons i like and in terms of pvp im content with being in top 200 i honestly have no vice towards others getting things that make them happy. I do think its sad that people get upset about those sorts of things though.

It's cool that you aren't competitive, but most people who play this game are. If people can just buy every aspect needed to win, then it is no longer a real competition, it's a spending match.

We shouldn't allow the people who are already on top to get even further ahead for no reason than to satisfy their egos. That will ruin the game. This isn't me being upset. It is me trying to explain the way this works.

I have seen many freemium games go down. I've been playing them since the 90's. I have been both forum and game mods for several of the many many freemium games I have played.

F2P vs P2P is the most important ratio in the game. EVERY game that tips it too far to P2P ends up dying. This game is actually already tipped too far towards P2P, though it is still better than a lot of them ironically. If it goes further that way, it will not be good for anybody. Really, they need to tip the balance just a little bit more towards f2p IMO, but they can get away with pushing the envelope a little bit because of the Star Wars logo.

And I am not a f2p player saying this. I have spent literally thousands of dollars on this game, and i vehemently say this is a HORRIBLE idea.
