Royal Guard doesn't have a Palpatine Synergy. Why not?

So Krennic has deathtrooper as his personal bodyguards, and they have synergy as a result. Royal Guards are Palpatine's (among others, but still) guards. With all the character synergys introduced since Wiggs, I don't see why not. Royal Guard has fallen from grace, and is really only used in Palpatine (L) teams, and even then isn't used all that often. Shoretrooper, Baze, and General Kenobi pretty much just outclass him as taunters. So why not give Royal Guard a Palpatine synergy to give him some sort of advantage over those guys. I was thinking something like whenever Palpatine is attacked and takes damage, Royal Guard attacks Palpatines attacker. Simple, easy, not that powerful, but still a nice little buff. Thoughts?

I agree, but what should that be? How about whenever EP suffers a negative status effect, RG takes that status effect instead.

RG needs another unique
Max lvl "Palpatines Guard"= 65% chance to take attack damage instead and give palpating crit hti immunity while RG is alive

RG taunts whenever any ally hits 50% health or whenever Palp looses health. RG also counters whenever Palp takes any damage.

If you mean taunt at the start of encounters, then no that's way too boring seeing how Shore (also Empire) does the same thing.

I love the idea of RG countering when EP is hit. He has one of the best basics in the game and I think that would be significant enough of a buff.

No one knows. Instead cg insisted on wiggs synergy.

Any damage dealt to Emperor Palpatine is reduced by 50% if Royal Guard is present. Royal Guard receives all damage prevented in this manner. At the end of Royal Guard's turn, transfer all debuffs from Emperor Palpatine to Royal Guard.

Just an unfortunate side effect of being an older toon. Ideas were simpler. Synergy was irrelevant as emperor didn't exist. Rg was sad. He had nobody royal to guard. Emperor came along...he was happy. Didn't need synergy...just his master. Rg + emperor = love

Agree that Palp synergy would be appropriate. It's insane how irrelevant most of the original characters have become.

Throw Gar in there too for added speed down and stun fun. Counter on Palp taking dmg would be awesome.

Then just buff his taunt to below 100% health, and RG would be awesome.
