I know that there is next to no concrete information about the knights of ren. We don't know their personalities, what their role in the story is, who they are, who they were, whether they're force sensitive, why they exist, etc.

Then it would make sense that the speculation and opinions expressed in this thread are based upon that same lack of information. We're all in the dark about the knights of ren, some of us just enjoy this type of mental exercise.

For fans that go beyond the major theatrical releases (clone wars, rebels.... cannon), DM is certainly a fan-favorite... not due to his costume, but the complexity of his character is very well-written

I agree that the clone wars did a great job with his character (its actually incredible what they managed to do with that dumpster fire of a trilogy, bot just with maul), but way too many people love maul for his role in phantom
I think we can tell some things about the Knights of Ren from the pictures and concept art and can infer other things. So here are some reasons why I think they look fun
-They are an elite group of elite fighters, that all are part of the same organization, should allow for some interesting synergy
-They are also each unique. From the concept art, they all have slightly different clothing and body types. The darkside suffers from having a plethora of no name soldier units: stormtrooper, deathtrooper, tie fighter pilot, and one of the strengths of the light side is having many more named (and therefore usually better in-game) characters. Hopefully, we will get their names and have all named Knights of Ren rather than generic trooper, etc...
-They each seem to have a unique weapon, this along with their unique clothing and size, indicates that they each have a diverse skill set. Just by looking at the concept art, some look like tanks, while others look like attackers. To me this seems like the seeds of something that the developers could turn into a really fun group to play.
-And lastly.........They look cool:)

I can see a first order tagged knight of ren being released as a sniper or some sort of specialist

Cause nobody really knows anything about them? They might be the most nonsensical, boring, irrelevant group of characters in star wars since the rogue one crew.
I think we can tell some things about the Knights of Ren from the pictures and concept art and can infer other things. So here are some reasons why I think they look fun

Seeing young boys' fascination with Kylo Ren and his costume (including weapon), leads me to believe that the big squiggly D corporation is going to market the kitten outta these guys. Who knows, maybe they'll be the new 'team' that kids emulate when they play pretend.

That would make sense when speaking in terms of cinematic choreography, but not in-character jedi forms of lightsaber combat that Yoda must have taught some to him - Obi Wan certainly did and you can see Luke practicing the principles of whatever lightsaber form it is deflecting blasters from a remote training droid.
I am not arguing with you @DatBoi I am just saying your argument is valid speaking from a cinematic/movie production stand point, but irrelevant speaking to a star wars cannon/lore stand point - two very different things

I agree and is totally contradictory to what Yoda said, that training to be a jedi is difficult and a long process. Even though Anakin came by the use and sill of the force naturally - he lacked the discipline and patience of the jedi - he chose a quick easy and more seductive path of the dark side.
Rey comes along, shatters those rules by mindtricking stormtroopers right away and picking up a lightsaber defeating an experienced force & saber wielding foe - this makes 100% 0 sense!!!!
This is why I believe Rey, at least, must be a skywalker. Because everyone elses training - Jedi and Sith alike have been difficult and gruelling.

That would be awsome, but for some reason I just don't see it happening.

* Long awaited to see Yoda in lightsaber combat - scene was given in AOTC
* Long awaited Vader power - scene provided in R1
Luke is another character, the most powerful force user in the galaxy and now a master - why would Disney not deliver something on that?
