Also, do you have the credits/purple mats to level and gear them and star them, since the shards and star unlocks are so spread between characters?
The big spenders, we spend around 2000 crystals daily (some even more). So farming gear isn't as long as you expect. However training them is problematic.
How much does spending 2000 crystals a day end up costing monthly? Around $500?

You get 600 (at least I do) crystals from daily activities and arena so it is more like 1400. My spending has curbed down a bit as I've given up on gearing/leveling so many characters at once. Probably I only spend around 1000 a day for Rey farming for the last 2 weeks or so.
And yes it costed around that much, but at least from my point of view 500$ is going out to a dinner 4 times per month and I don't have a hard time justifying the amount of money I spend. I would probably even spend more as I find the game soothing.

There are good and bad investments. Personally i think there aren't worse investments than a mobile game. (and i don't mean buying and selling mobile games, but wasting money like no there is no tomorrow on microtransactions) I don't think anyone outside these forums will tell you "Well bought mate!" when you show them your Grievous and tell them you spent 5000$ to get him.

I said pack openers. Big spenders can buy the whole game if they like. Source code can vary between 2k-10k without counting the Star Wars IP.

honestly, I like the gamble aspect of it. More often than not, I appreciate the shards for existing toons that help promote them quicker. I have about 25 toons at level one--some very good--that I am just not promoting yet due to limited space cash.
Hahaha loved this post. Whenever im hesetating with IAP in this game, i just put it on hold till ive knocked back a few. great fun and no regrets! Haha
The first Mega purchase I made I did it when I was drunk haha. I don't mind dropping a monthly 50-100 bucks on this game for energy refills or emergency credit purchases, but I have so much fun with this game, drunk me told financially smart and sober me that it was okay to purchase maybe $600 of crystals in one sitting to open packs for days. Got Maul Tarkin Leia Fisto and Bane all to 7* because of it. Spent maybe 1.5k on this game total so far. Probably not a whale but definitely a fast and nimble dolphin. I can see myself definitely spending another 500 in the next few months. Let's just hope this game can last for years like clash of clans and I'll be happy.
