Nihlus Annihilate Bug?

Whenever I use annihilate my nihlus doesnt recover hp. Let alone the hp from his targets max health. Am I reading the ability wrong or does it just not work? I run him under palp lead. No matter if the target has full hp or little he doesnt recover anything.

He doesn't recover health, he gains max health. So his health bar won't move. Annihilate just destroys the target rather than doing any damage so he won't recover any through health steal either.

The only exception is against raid bosses, because he damages them rather than destroys (does 99,999), so he regains some health here due to his health steal stat.

Working as intended, annihilation does increase nihilus' maximum health by the same amount that the annihilated target had, not to heal.

ya you are reading it wrong. when he kills them he gains max HP. lets say he has 20,000 hp normally and kill annihilates kenobi with 30,000 HP, afterwards Nihilus will have 50,000HP.
Nihilus naturally doesn't have much true health steal capabilities
