I used to play a UK game and it was the same thing in reverse... people in the US whining that the updates would happen "while they were still asleep".
Also another US-based game I'd have to listen to UK people go on about "OMG WHY DO YOU DO UPDATE ON BANK HOLIDAY!" like anyone in the self-centered US knows or cares about holidays there.
