It's pretty dumb to have a completely different site for bugs, especially when half the time (at least) it's not actually a bug, but that's a different topic.

It does not make sense as a thing established specifically for SW:GoH. It makes perfect sense as a thing EA established and has all their projects use. It's in the company's interests that every new project has an established system for reporting problems and engaging directly with players about them instead of every new project reinventing the wheel, and quarantining it from main forums seems to improve its ability to do its job.
