The reason was because it had to happen with a "content update" and there was no other content released in the last few weeks of the cadence (and beyond).

I don't have the exact quote but the last time this happened they said something about it could come as late as the next update after the end of the window.
Whatever you think of that reasoning the first time it happened, it's the cadence now. If there's an update this week and no Hyena, then it's late and outside cadence.

Exactly. The won't push a content update merely to move things to nodes, but will rather wait until there is something else of substance and tack it on.
They are more than likely to add it whenever they push the Resistance Hero Poe marquee event - probably tomorrow. "Content" updates are usually on Thursdays.

They’ve said that if they miss the 6 week mark, then it should be in game with the next content update
Restarting tomorrow’s GAC requires a content update. So we should get one today or tomorrow and that should put hyena to a farmable node
I'd still prefer a node with useful gold gear (I'm overfull on Commlinks and I don't have stun cuffs banked up, but I'm not in the hole either, I just grab them when i need them and don't worry too much), but I can agree that it's better to have ShardShop currency and decent purple gear than it is not to have those things.

A good node? Really?
May I ask what makes it a good node?
1) Shard shop currency (JC ship)
2) mk4 commlinks
3) mk3 stun cuffs
All in addition to the thing you're actually farming the node for, Hyena.
