Yeah so uhh... just faced an R5 Asajj, G12 Zombie, and G11 Acolyte in GAC... went in with G12 Bossk, G12 Boba, and G12 Mando... annihilated Asajj with Mando and killed Zombie probably 50 times - Acolyte never got out of stealth and kept healing herself back to full. Mando's annihilate didn't work on Zombie. Am I missing something?

Yes, zombie revive cannot be prevented.

AOE heavy to take out acolyte is the only way around it, AOE cleans helps too.

This is a very dumb mechanic.

You need AoEs or mass dispells to deal with this. It's a pretty old combo.
  • #buffRey
    or in this case
    #nerfZombie

Jango+Boba works to beat Acolyte-Zombie, debuff with Boba AoE, Jango reduces max health with his. Idk if Jango first special can hit stealthed enemies. If yes, it makes it easier.

    Same lol
  • I see that most NS teams don't run with Acolyte.
But shouldn't she be the perfect choice for the team?
Asajj, Talzin, Old Daka, Zombie and Acolyte (instead of Spirit)

is there any downside of this lineup?

Dumb? Nah! Annoying for players who don't understand it? Yes.

The downside is, that it's an old and well known combination. Most players and their grandmothers know how to deal with it.

It may take (very) few players in lower divisions by surprise if they encounter it in the rear territory in a GA but that's about it. Div. 1 and 2 players have plenty of counters for it.
  • Hmm... but shouldn't AOE from G12 Boba under contract, cooldown reduce form Execute and buffs/TM gain from Mando take care of G11 acolyte?

Apparently OP's Boba doesn't do enough damage with his AoE. OP wrote that acolyte heals back up.

Yes, I'm just trying to understand if it's modding/execution problem or such team really can't counter slightly weaker Acolyte.

It’s meant to be representative of a “hoard” of zombies. So from that perspective it makes sense - you kill one zombie and another is taking its place.
So whether you kill it the old fashioned way or Annhilate it or whatever else - there is still another one taking its place.

I don't think you realize just how noob this thread seems to everyone that has been doing 3s for about a year now. It's not a dumb mechanic. It is strategy. I faced a high tenacity potent relic EP last night. That's also incredibly challenging if you are ignorant of how dangerous EP can be if you can't shut him down.
  • Ok... So ...considering that everyone knows how to counter.
Yet, which toon is the best 5th fo NS?
    Acolyte or Spirit?
Or a team with Spirit is "less countable" than with acolyte?

Just imagine KRU Zombie and Nest in 3v3. Literally unbeatable.

That's an excellent pun, by the way.
In game name: Lucas Gregory - - - -"Whale blah grump poooop." - Ouchie

    In game guild: TNR Uprising
I beat the REAL T7 Yoda (not the nerfed one) and did so before mods were there to help

Great zombie/acolyte interaction in that setup.

Three characters people should but don't know how to deal with doesn't require a zombie/acolyte interaction.

.... And that makes those 3 "literally unbeatable"? Your logic is flawed.

Those are both AoEs, which I said. No, you cannot target stealthed enemies.

You cannot target stealthed enemies, however they can still be hit...
