Does Leia shoot blanks?

I've been trying so hard to convince myself to use Leia in my Arena team, she's 7*, almost Max gear yet still I've been having this issue:
- She RARELY shoots more than once, and rarely crits
- Whenever she shoots 3 times the opponent dodges at least once or twice (Without Dooku or Luminara lead) this happens way too often to the extent that I really think she shoots blanks or something
How was your experience with Leia? What can I do to make her a starter character?

He is the other DPS im thinking about. I need 2 in the new team (and I don't count QGJ as a high DPS char)
her best uses IMO are constantly giving your team crit chance +
It's just so impressive that out of all characters I have she's the one who really needs some practice to stop giving dodges left and right
Maybe she does better on defense?
I have the same problems with Leia. Used all those /50 hair dryers on her only to be let down. Hitting for 2200 and critting for 3800. Depressing. Especially when she gets dodged!
I haven't used them on her yet, I think her hair looks just fine

My Rey is very far from getting maxed, any suggestions?

IG86. Does better damage than 7* Leia (at least from what I'm hearing here) at only 5* and his assist attack is nice. He doesn't attack as fast, but he is better on defense because he doesn't waste his first attack.
Also the biggest whale on our server who has most, if not everyone I've seen him use at 7* has 7* Leia in his arena team for a day or so, and benched her ever since which was easily over a month ago. I think he actually benched her and put 5* Rey in her place from memory, probably found Rey a lot more dps giving and not infuriating like Leia is. Probably dropped less places over night until he put the recently buffed 7* RG in his team.
Tldr, Leia just seems so underwhelming, even from people who thought the best of her until reality set in, she's very low on the "must use" scale.

I'm thinking to have her as my dream team but seeing your post makes it dismissable.
Didn't really track that as pretty much every time I opened Chromium's I either got her or Kit till both reached 7* . I would say 90℅ of the packs were Kit, Leia or Cad Bane.
She even shot 3 times once and the opponent dodged all of them
Hah! I had the EXACT same results tons of Fisto, Leia, and Cad Bane. Cad is a lil shy of 7* but Leia and Fisto got to 7 quick and then made a huge surplus of shard shop fodder for me.
Wonder if their random is broke on the chromiums...
@FeepCunner Yeah it is quite annoying. After 7* the 3 of them - without meaning to - I decided to quit buying chromium packs but it is clearly set up towards certain characters.
Cad Bane is pretty much sitting at a low level with Gear level 5 or something and Kit is useless except for Yoda challenge.
But I had to 7 star all of them in order to use the excess shards
Maybe he'll be the man in the new meta lol
Oh I rarely got this shards. The next one who came close for me is snow trooper
