It has nothing to do with updates. If the game can't connect to the server when you open the store (temporary signal/WiFi loss etc) then it can't identify your region for localised pricing. Following the "Tap for Price" brings the correct currency for your region.
A statement where you don’t know what you’re talking about. Tap for price message is due to your client being out of sync, nothing to do with it being updated. It’s not some nefarious attempt to get people to buy stuff without seeing the price.
