GAC Squish Again!
I got squished out of K1 again...last 2 GAC seasons I ended in K1, but then my skill rating dropped in between each season so I started in K2 for the next season. I thought not only was CG stopping the K1 squish, but reversing it by expanding K1 over time? Its annoying that this keeps happening, and not sure what the reasoning behind it is.

I'll go back and try to find and post it. IIRC, CG responded to a huge thread on this and said they were basically reversing course by expanding K1 over time

That just says they changed the formula. The squish never went away - it just got less aggressive for a while to allow K1 to expand to it's intended size. I would imagine that as K1 gets closer to that size the squish will normalize to the level it's supposed to be at. Maybe we're starting to see that now?
Well, you misunderstood that post. They aren't *stopping* the squish, they changed it. I haven't seen the data, but I imagine there's more people in Kyber now than there were before, and I've not heard anyone complain about how tiny K1 is (I think at one point it was starting at less than 1k players). I got squished but stayed K1, currently at rank 975 (SR 3714) so definitely more than 1k now.
Definitely bigger now. I got squished to just outside of K1 at SR 3607, rank 3990. SR only went down 30 points which is much better than it used to be.
