Assist callers are the closest thing to "meta-shift proof" - just surround them with heroes that are the new meta - whether it's stun, high damage, crit, advantage, slow tanks with high DPS. Doesn't matter, they'll call an assist from anyone. They're equal opportunity like that.
i think notes said when a character is called for an assist, advantage wont be used, rather saved for that characters actual attack. To avoid randomness.
i completely agree assisting toons carry on through the meta shift, even more so with a 2 move cool down. SADLY i dont think the bug is going away
only if called by Phasma leader ability does it get refreshed.
The only exceptions to 'next-attack-only' are Assists granted by Phasma's Fire at Will, which will refresh the Assisting ally's Advantage if they had it as soon as they finish the attack.
You can't judge tomorrow's changes by today's standards. Just because a character has less damage does not mean they won't still be important.
Remember the ENTIRE meta is changing. So stop judging tomorrow's changes relative to how effective they'd be today.
Because tomorrow having slightly less damage won't matter as much. You have to think about how the changes will work post tune.

I'm confident that GS and QG will still be useful. Between the two of them they should be able to kill someone even if health equals pro. Maybe they call savage instead of Rey, maybe they hide behind a condom wearing RG with 25000 health. But calling damage turns 1 and 3 will likely always be useful.

I actually farmed Luke first. That was an utter waste. I don't even use him in gw anymore. I'm hoping he is better after the update. Gs was my second character farmed in cantina and expecting him to still be good. Not the fastest or the most damaging but his assist is crazy.

Good sentiment. I kind of like having unsung heroes being effective in this game. If only the Vaders and Lukes have any power, why bother growing characters in the first place?
