So How Good is Emperor Palpatine?

For those who have him already, how is he? He seems really powerful with his basic and special skills, but his leader ability is just insane! 32% potency seems like an absurd amount! Who's gonna be a good counter to him besides tenacity up? Can't wait to try him out before they inevitably nerf him :P

That's exactly what I'm afraid of. They might nerf him like they did to Yoda. That would suck.

He is one of the top 5 toons in the game, hands down. 70 percent stun chance on his aoe bro. Like I went in with a g8 Palpatine in top 10 arena. Beat a guy who uses Rex lead, Anakin, RG, Rey, and Qui gon. He had tenacity up, I still knocked him down. He is super fun, and probably overpowered honestly.

At this point I'm just wondering how long it will be before they nerf him honestly. Sucks I won't be able to unlock him until after a couple of days, still need to star up leia.

Emperor is a beast, but more importantly he makes Vader a beast. I mean Vader's force choke grants him not only an additional turn, but my Vader gets a heal of 45k, which is insanely good.
Still I believe that he will not become meta, as a lot of people do not have the squad to unlock him... we'll see.

I'm enjoying him so far and he is only level 60 gear 7. Think with the potency it's a shame teebo isn't a sith or qui gon or yoda or chewie lol

Don't ask him to be nerfed. Ask for Yoda to return to his glory. If Palp is so strong that Yoda should be his counter.

Hmm. I need 6 more days to get Palp to 7*. I have him at 6* now. Hope they don't nerf him before that.

Anyways, I am happy to get him, because I needed on strong toon for Potency mod challenge, and Palp came as a definite surprise.

If you mean Luke, than leave him. He is not of good use in long run. Farm Lando from Cantina node and HRS from shipment.

It's good to see that ea / cg starting to turn away from nerfs... Most of the changes in the last few changes have been buffs, which is a welcome change in pace. (even though they kinda nerfed cody/echo and spy, but they've kindly buffed cody back up a bit... I would not be surprised if ea eventually adds another genosian that makes spy and the other genosians gel together really well, much like palpatine is doing for empire)

I think on paper, (untested as no one has emp as lead in my top 20 yet.) yoda lead could be a counter, possibly? his leadership tenacity with battle meditation might be enough to resist and then gain loads of tm for ani qgj aayla etc? anyone tested this?

Agreed!! Yoda was awesome and they nerfed him whrere he hits like a dang tadpole!!!

and his basic will crit for 8-10K giving him 50% TM, 60% under wedge lead.
