Agreed mostly FTP since mod-gate. Big spender before. Just a piece of gear here or there with money already there. Mod-Gate showed us "whales" that if the F2P players want they can get the deves to overturn anything so we don't spend. We just play our few minutes a day and spend elsewhere.
i've put a bit of money into the game and it's been character packs or bundles mostly. i purchased a jedi pack to get anakin the month he was the monthly character. during the emperor's demise event i purchased the rebel pack and bundle.
otherwise i'm F2P. i rarely use my money for crystals.
I buy crystals for gear shipments and if I ever want to do extra cantina refreshes. I've temporarily closed my wallet again - not because this game has frustrated me, but because I want to curb my spending for a bit.
I did buy a lot of shard packs. Now i realize the more money you spend, the more money u need. It never ends (shards - credits - gear - mods - credits - ...). At my lowest, i even bought credit packs to promote toons... Now i occasionnally by crystals for refreshes. Still have some toons i can promote to 7*, but i m cool with not having the credits for that now. My psychiatrist says im on the way to recovery
I refresh daily looking for offense and speed secondary on a credit based MOD. I rarely splurge on a crystal based one, it would need to be EXACTLY what I'm looking for.
I stopped spending after the MOD-gate. But when I did, I used to spend it on buying crystals to purchase gear shipments and cantina refreshes.
I was never going to open my wallet again, but when they introduced the warehouse of crystals for $199.99, I gave in and bought it. I feel terrible because I don't regret it.
wow i must be the only player who does not refresh my energy. i have on occasion if it would be of a benefit like gearing up or staring up a toon. but i usually just wait for the game refreshes and bonus energy.

it'll always be there tomorrow.
I refresh the regular energy twice (50 crystals each) and the Cantina energy twice (100 crystals each).
I do it to get my 600 guild coin contributions and for me I feel like I need the refreshes to farm at a rate I want.
However, with the low raid gear pieces drop rate, I find buying full pieces of raid gear is worthwhile IF it will bring a toon I need to the next gear level.
For example, I just bought an Mk 7 Nubian Scanner to get my Palpy to gear level 10. It was the last piece I needed and if it wasn't (or if I was close to crafting one) then I wouldn't have bought it. By buying it, I can try out Palpy in Arena (he's 6*) at gear 10.

Are you saying you wanted mods the way they were before the nerf? Those pre nerf mods screwed all kinds of gear. Why add a gear that took months to farm, several raids, when you could get a super buff health mod with whatever super stat you wanted in a few seconds.

But definitely chromium when new toons are realeased, otherwise mods mostly and possibly gear if any whales can attest to this.
Make Zader Great Again!
Me too.
Nothing to spend on but endless vast RNG pit of mods.

Crystals are spent on cantina refresh

I use crystals for energy refreshes and to buy raid gear sometimes (if it gets a toon to a next gear level).
Never bought a chromium pack. I bought the Rebels pack because I wanted to be able to get a 6* Palpy (who I use quite a bit now).
I used to spend about 100 a month for the first 3-4 months, mainly on Credits, Energy Refreshes and bought 3-4 Furnaces.

The excess crystals are spend on arena refreshes (50) once and the mk3 holo rounds for 300.
