Before the event (forumn knew to farm rebels) - not sure how long ? maybe between 7-14 days
During the event = somewhere in between 7 - 10 days
There was an interview where they told us to farm rebels almost a month before the event. I had plenty of time to get my rebels and i was good when the event came out the first time.
Also the farmable Rebels at the time were as follows:
(VERY EASY FARMS) = 7

(NOT SO EASY FARMS but still available) = 4

if it was going to be an EP/Yoda event they would be giving us a heads up on who to level. They did it with Palp and told you to level your rebels ahead of time.

did you ever think that the info we get tomorrow could be who we need to farm to unlock the new sith? they didn't give us that much of a notice for EP/Yoda
i started playing in july and i knew that if the EP event ever came back i would need 5 rebels.
and yoda came around once a month so you knew quickly you needed 7* jedi. They aren't going to spring an EP/Yoda type event and expect people to level up 2 or 3 new toons in the matter of 2 weeks.
but what about when the event happened for the first time. You weren't around when that happened so how do you know what it was like leading up to them? I was and there wasn't much besides a week to prepare
ok. I have to believe the devs have gotten smarter since then. And they want to maximize the money they make off this character. I look at EP as a christmas gift from the devs. This new sith character is all about making $$$ .
Getting 5 sith to 7* is much more difficult than rebels. There are now 18 rebels in the game. lets say 11 are easily farmable.
How many sith are easily farmable to 7*, 3? Doesn't make sense to make it a sith toon event.
This is incorrect. When EP was first released there weren't anywhere near 18 rebels in the game, much less 11 easily farmable. I think they gave us 5-10 days to get ready for that event the first time. All 6 sith are easily farmable. It makes complete sense to do a sith only event. If they do that, and you cant unlock it the first time because you choose not to farm them quicky (by spending money on refreshes, etc.) then you can get him the next time if you slow farm the necessary characters. EP wasn't a christmas gift, he came around after a long time of not being around since the first time because it is an extremely rare event. They will maximize money off of this characters if they make this for only sith, because you will have to pay to level and gear them if you didn't do it already. AND like @crazycdog29 said, $59.99 bundles for sith is another way to make money off of a sith only event.

Be serious. Firstly, Mara never used a red lightsaber - she's used green, blue and purple across the years, but never red. Also, the quote does not fit her at all - she's by no means hungry for power.

Mara is legends meaning anything in the past didn't really happen with her. She could be reintroduced as a new character with different background lightsaber etc.
Don't think Disney/Lucas would use this game as re-introduction of such a new character but who the hell knows.

That would just be stupid. If she's reintroduced with a different background, lightsaber, etc. then that's not Mara Jade. That's just a new character who happens to be called Mara Jade. That would just stink of fan-service, hoping to bring in EU fans that way, even though she won't be anything like the character I know and love. And as you said, Galaxy of Heroes isn't going to be the primary media through which any EU characters are added back into 'canon'

For Yoda, no, there wasn't much notice the very first time he came around. For EP, we had plenty of notice and plenty of time to get him (10 days the first time IIRC).
What's going to be galling is if the new character: 1) isn't Revan or Nihilus and 2) not available via an event. I welcome any new Dark Side characters but would for obvious reasons prefer the two most popular guesses. If they were Chromium only (a possibility though slim) or Tourney only (for the love of Hoth, please no) that'd be a tremendous let down.
