How about implementing an in-game warning that their will be a client restart in exactly 'X' amount of hours.
That way when just completing a TB mission the client restart doesn't pop up causing us to lose all progress for that mission.
Thx.
Even a message in our in box stating that there will be a client restart in 'X' amount of hours from the time of this message( with a time stamp) would be helpful.
Much better than it just happening at some (appearing to be for us) random time causing a lose of progress.
Or simply change it so that the "client restart required" window won't show up until after a battle is completed, or alternatively treat that battle like a retreat (consuming nothing and allowing you to jump right in without losing anything).

Yeah, but those inbox messages apparently need a client restart too, and I have no idea why that is. Because it's a global game they'll always upset someone with the forced updates/client restarts. Plus the amount of times updates have run over schedule people would just be complaining with "you said it would be two hours, it has now been four hours and I'm missing my payout etc etc etc".
It's a good idea, but not really workable with the way CG operate.
