Being attacked by my shard in my new payout time.

Prev1
Ok, so about a year ago I finally got my arena team good enough to compete for the too spot in my payout. Sure enough I was contacted within a few days telling me about the shard and the rotation and so on, but there were too many players in the rotation already and no spot for me. They said they would "allow me" to be in top 20 twice a week. I though it was a joke. Naturally I said hell no and so they all attacked me whenever they could... Fast forward to the new time change. I spend a few days looking to see what times everyone went to and saw that from 10pm till 4am where open. I started playing at the 10pm time and within a week they all found where I went and are now all attacking me during my payout to keep me out. Sometimes I can make it into top 10. They are atting me out of their new times just to F with me. HELP!

    Sorry but you are SOL.
Why wasn't Cobb Vanth shards a reward for the Krayt Dragon raid? Why wasn't Endor Gear Luke shards a reward for the Speeder Bike raid?

Do you think they are deliberately going out of their way to attack you? I mean if your payout is so busy they will offer you top 20 twice a week then perhaps you're their only way to climb without disturbing their allies.

I think it's a bad system altogether and I wish it would change but I really feel bad for you

Not really. He **** off a group of people that rotate the payout in his arena. He **** them off so they all go and attack him. Happens all the time and people get pushed way out of the top payouts.

Only thing he can do is either form a group of people to go after all of them. (Not going to happen) Or he can spend a lot of extra crystals to get a higher payout. (Seems counter productive.)

The fact that people rotate in rewards alone is something that wouldn't be permitted in any competitive game.

This “group of people “ that removed the challenge of actually competing in area to game the payout? Asking for a friend

I wasn't trying to **** them off. That was my payout time and they didnt want me in their "club" am I just supposed to not compete? They dont own the game. And yes they are absolutely going out of their way to keep me as low as possible. Theres usually 2 a night taking turns battling me. So when my time is up it always says "someone else is battling you" it's easy to see who does it because you switch ranks with them

All this Arena mafia is a stupid rubbish.

I cant believe a group can be that precious to stop you getting in the top 20. Top 5 sure but top 20.... wow.

The fact they are still going after you when you have shifted your payout is pretty sad. I hope nobody from my guild is part of that blockade

Speaking as a member of a shard chat, this type of patio is disgusting. The whole point of shard chats is to maximise fun and minimise frustration for everyone, not form an exclusive club which gets to dictate who's at the top.

I'm not sure if there's a case to be made for harassment here, especially if they're going out of their way to hit you.

And that is the s**t that needs to be fixed. The whole shard chats and targeting players that don't comply needs to be addressed, that is what's ruining the spirit of competition in arena. Being told that "hey you can only be 20-10 this week, maybe next week top 10".. that's ridiculous.

It's ridiculous, yes, but there's nothing to fix. I'm just happy that my shard chats don't behave like this.

But shard chats are good because people in them say they are!

Sad to hear that, but not surprising sadly, harassment for profit... All harassers from all shards should be merged into a brand new shard, they would do no more harm to anyone else but themselves. And let them set up a discord chat to get into top 10 000.

If you're using a common arena team (Revan, Traya, whatever) then change your in-game name to something totally different. Not ideal, but they might not recognise you.

I don't think they harass you on purpose. Unless you been impolite or annoying as hell during their payouts... But imagine a group of people that know each others for a while by chatting everyday. Then when they climb up they have to choose between attacking you or their shard mate they know... They will obviously choose to attack you. If their group is large enough that's probably why it feels so harrassing, because they probably don't have much choices left when climbing up. You can either join them or live with it until CG chooses to change the shard system, which they said they're happy with.

This post is greatly describing the situation.
Try to cooperate with them. Someone refusing to cooperate, abrupting a groups internal designation of spots (which requires a significant coordunation), snipes them from their rightful position, is definitely going to be a big red target.

Cooperating and socialising works much better than qq, and as a pro tip, this advice isnt solely for the game but pretty much every area in life too.

Lol at people who think there's any "spirit of competition" in arena.

This game is pretty badly designed. There's nothing players can do about it. Blame the devs for creating this mess. Blame the whales for feeding them resources.

Players who are intentionally abusing a flawed system to their benefit need to be suspended or banned. Easy solution is to not show player names or allow the other players to view anything about their opponent, that way they have no way of contacting the other party or arranging "ganking" groups.
Yea I agree they but how can they change it? People can discreetly communicate over discord or another app so there’s no proof they are teaming if they were to ban it.

Collusion can be handled quite easily in a number of ways. It just isn't a priority for CG. They simply don't care. This type of feedback has been falling on deaf ears for years.

I'd try to observe who also from that group has checkout at that time. Probably you got reported to others by those few to help with keeping you out. You should also contact them again to see how many is in rotation. If not as many as your previous spot they have no excuse to not take you in anymore.

Heh, no unless you are not shaming them. Shard chats are well known. I have no qualms admitting I'm part of one.

So there is a shard Mafia? LOL Easy to fix. Put timers on People who were just attacked. I've dropped 300 in an hour at times, it's insane. Put a 15 minute timer on.
