According to the new TW table for divisions and rewards, the extra core gear and raid gear box should be for both winner and loser.

Not that I am aware of, but again things that far out are never in direct detail. So I guess possible but not likely.

Yeah, I get AB duration is 1 day for phase 1 at least, but who knows what they have in store for later phases
I've reached out to the devs regarding the added number of defensive teams to be set and will get back to ya with the answer.
Any update on the number of defensive teams (beyond the rumored 10/person for top tier)?
Also, can you please clarify the "Core Gear Box" reward for >60M GP teams ... says it's only for victory (and looks like it in game), but the graphic it shows everyone gets it.

Answered in the other thread.
That one is wrong and will be changed, but not sure if that means for this TW.
So let me get this straight, if I’m running a small very successful guild at TW…because of my win streak they will allow “cross-divisional” play so I get stomped by underachieving larger guilds to make them feel better?

Most likely you will face a guild with a long losing streak in the following division, hence, cross-division matchup when it feels like you are ready to move to the next division
The best in division 2 can beat the worst in division 1

Joking aside though, this is not helpful for alleviating the core gear crunch for Guilds that are not TW focused. Let's hope the matchmaking algorithm works better now...

I think the TW changes are adding a small bit of core gear with the emphasis being on TW the spot for R9 gear. I have a feeling that the changes to daily challenges is where we will see the most change in the core gear crunch
More Stun Guns and Carabanti is excellent. Easing the gear crunch is awesome. I love that. TW matchmaking needs a rework. I hope that pans out as promised.
The rest of it is just more stuff to eliminate smaller guilds. I've been in my for years. I'm the big homie. I usually get the top score in TB, TW, and raids. I donate the most gear, help other players find direction, answer the most questions... In recent months, I've taken on an officer role and contributed to TW and recruitment. I have helped turn around a guild that lost most of our TWs to winning most of our TWs through strategy, motivation, and coordination. I'm not taking full credit, but a lot of my ideas have been implemented.
I've brought in lower-tier players to help them accelerate their growth. I can't even bring in mid-level players to my guild because we can't beat the CPit yet. We can't beat CPit because we can't bring people in. This is going to make it harder to fill spots. Everybody in the guild's growth is stunted because we can't accomplish these feats, which we can't accomplish because our growth is stunted.
This isn't to say how great I am. This is to say, my leaving this guild would hurt it more than adding me to an elite guild would help them. An elite guild doesn't need me. They're already elite. I have four GLs. I could easily find an elite guild that would take me. I've had offers. I'm penalized for being loyal to my guild. To get the rewards I need to stay competitive in the solo parts of the game, I have to abandon the people I've been playing with for years, and the newer players I've brought in, and the players I've helped mentor. The only way I can get the materials I need without leaving my guild is to merc, which isn't always an option.
Why does CG want to force me to abandon this guild that I've worked very hard to help improve or abandon the people I've been with for years because they're not as focused, disciplined, or motivated as me? CG doesn't make more money from me leaving my guild. So, why?
Same here.... I don't know why, CG try to PUNISH the weak guilds since the CRancor
TW Matchmaking is terrible and the new system will just bring huge sandbagging into the 320m+ to ensure wins. Wins count x2-x5 of the only material needed. Than you are dropping the rewards for lower guilds by a huge to zero amount and in the end you will get TW guilds just face stomping others. I am not sure how it will be in a few months one guild having piett r9 vs other full gl lineup at r9 + piett...the winner probably will be known in advance. Its not like the raid stuff being in similar speed achieved, but it moves in rocket speed for highly specialised guilds with specially low GM for their bracket again. It will be the opposite of what is advertised here. It will be same as top3 in GAC every time. With exception of giving those Top3 not super high amount of "only obtainable" R9 and improving their situation every time further and further.
Situation soon will be terrible vs ultra TW guilds...its foreseeable.
The changes are death for countless middle class guilds. Anyone with >5-6 million GP who is interested in progress will look for big guilds. A few months ago, all the "bigger" players were drawn to >250m GP guilds that make the Crancor and now everyone is leaving the 250-300m GP guilds because they want R9 mats. The guilds in that segment won't get a decent replacement then either, because everyone who wants to switch will look for guilds with >320m GP.
I would have preferred to get R9 material in an individual event like Conquest.
Newer players get a boost, the biggest guilds get r9 and everyone in the middle gets shafted. After the controversial last update the least you could have done is treat everyone fairly with this update.

And they haven’t came yet, with zero idea of when they are going to change it, or the volumes likely to be seen.
It’s nonsense. They’ve been screwing the community over for months, and they make a post attempting to garner positivity, but with no substance to it. Nothing is even currently scheduled to change. Just “in further months.”
While releasing a R9 relic pack that’s more expensive than the R8 pack. R8 only needed two $50 packs. Now it’s 3 packs for the same thing. So everything they say is nonsense. They are placating angry people without changing a single thing so far, and zero timescales or info in the changes. Fool me once……..
@CG_SBCrumb_MINI and @CG_Doja_Fett_MINI
Easy solution to improve gear crunch => stop being stingy with raid reward and give top 1 reward in old raid for all guildmate.
I still don't understand why aeromagnifiers are not accessible for most players. Conquest hard is tough, especially after grindquest change. And it is not endgame content anymore as endgame players have plenty of them in their inventory.
And I don't accept "change guild" or "wait another two years until your guild developped enough"
And I still dont inderstand why:
1.when relicks comes, why why have problems with gear to 13.
2. When comes r8 who so huge problem with gear still, and take units to r7
3. Why from raids so bad rewards when I fi ish hstr, or cpit in 1place, i do t get even single full crafted gear. Why?
1. I hope this will get better after phase 1 is adressed. More income of gear should help
2. Maybe this comes with phase 2?
3. I usually get some full piece in hstr
Ok, your right, full piece ues but I talk about g12+
Not g11, or g12.
Biggest bottleneck is g12+. They should be guarantee on hstr rank 1-10 same in tb when dstb 30stars +, lstb 27+.
Before some changes when assault battles 2days in a row, in 1 mo th we cam make 1 character to r0 to r7.
Now not possible, and for every gl how many r7 we need?

That's my take. The changes to TW rewards and everything are designed to change the feel of the game mode and make an incentive to invest in winning.
Within each phase they discussed how there are many elements, that are meant to touch certain areas, all to achieve the end goals outlined in the post.

They are not trying to punish anyone. A goal they will always have is a progressive system that promotes and rewards advancement. They outlined several rewards changes that do nothing at the too end, but give more to low/mid level guilds and players by leaving end tier rewards the same but having a flatter or less steep rewards progression.

Just realised I wrote pretty much this too.... I only wish CG would listen to our guilds...
Newer players get a boost, the biggest guilds get r9 and everyone in the middle gets shafted.
That's not entirely true.
I can't remember when I stopped worrying about "core gear" but even though I can get enough when I need it, and even though for a couple pieces (particularly Stun Guns) I have a large cache so I don't even worry about getting it, I still spend resources to buy core gear and I'm over 7M gp.
If you're really in "the middle" then you're still spending guild tokens on carbantis and stun cuffs and droid callers, you're still spending shard shop currency on stun guns. You're still spending crystals on farming (or shipment purchases of) core gear (especially stun guns and gold eyeballs).
So going forward, you're going to spend fewer resources on stun guns, gold eyeballs, droid callers, stun cuffs, and probably several other things as well.
Now if that's true, then you have more crystals available to buy Kyros (or buy energy to farm them), you have more guild tokens to purchase g11 finishers, you have more shard shop currency to buy g12 gear.
The increase in core gear isn't only going to benefit new players. As I said, I'm over 7M gp and the reason I have 15 stun gun prototypes lying around waiting for the carbantis to use them is because I buy 6 stun gun salvage every single time they appear in the Shard Shop. It's not much. They don't appear in the Shard Shop all the time, but it's enough that I'm buying more than I'm using, and so very slowly over many months they stack up. I also buy stun cuffs, carbantis and Mk3 Holos with guild tokens all the time. I buy gold eyeballs all the time -- using crystals. This new arrangement for core gear is basically a gift to me of hundreds of crystals, thousands of guild tokens, and thousands of Shard Shop tokens every month.
Players "in the middle" probably spend even larger amounts (or at least a larger percentage) of their crystals and guild tokens and shard shop currency on these priorities, which means that they will experience an even more significant bonus in their ability to purchase g11 finishers and g12 gear and, yes, kyros.
I get it that people are upset about the limits on acquisition of Relic9 mats. I do. I really hate incentives to break up guilds and house only high gp folks with certain guilds, depriving middle guilds of mentorship and depriving everyone of the freedom to join a guild based on friendship and fun rather than based on what's necessary to jump through the next hoop. I honestly think they don't appreciate just how much of the fun is based on relationships with guild mates and other players.
The incentives to break up guilds along GP lines are bad.
But this doesn't "shaft" everyone between new players and me. Folks in the middle get a lot of benefits, and folks at the high end are going to miss their middle-GP friends if/when guilds break up the same way that folks in the middle will miss their high-GP friends.
We're all going to benefit from the increase in access to core gear, and we're all going to suffer from guild breakups.
The only way middle players get "shafted" is that they don't get r9 right away. But this is as it always has been. In this game, the rich get richer because you have to have great toons to get the next shiny thing, whether it's Lord Vader or Relic9.
Middle players are going to benefit. Trust me.
This is not to say you can't/shouldn't complain about r9. Complain away if you like, but if I'm going to benefit from the gear changes, then sure as heck fire players "in the middle" will benefit.

Sure, totally natural process. Nothing at all to do with CG giving players in certain position very clear incentive to ditch their guild. Definitely not an artificial limit with effects so obvious that it had to be deliberate. Totally natural process.

Same here.... I don't know why, CG try to PUNISH the weak guilds since the CRancor
Situation soon will be terrible vs ultra TW guilds...its foreseeable.
I would have preferred to get R9 material in an individual event like Conquest.
And people are buying it.
Easy solution to improve gear crunch => stop being stingy with raid reward and give top 1 reward in old raid for all guildmate.
Peace and good luck.
They might not be trying to but they do, there is no debate about that. Guilds in the 250-300 range will now either get over 300 or face the death spiral.
Correct, they will grow into it, and yes some guilds along the way may not be able to hold it together. This is way more of a natural process than many make it out to be.
Sure, totally natural process. Nothing at all to do with CG giving players in certain position very clear incentive to ditch their guild. Definitely not an artificial limit with effects so obvious that it had to be deliberate. Totally natural process.
