We would all rather have something that works rather than something that does not. Who does the testing there? So many problems with every update, I just haven't seen this with any other game before.
Here are a few suggestions.
Completely fix all character bugs,
this should be the first thing you work on before anything. A player without a deep roster will have tremendous difficulty competing if 1 of his 10 viable characters are bugged. That's 10% of his team! (FOTP is one of the oldest characters I have never seen him inflict health or offense down, (NOT ONCE) 0 potency why does a character even have this stat then? Don't introduce more characters if the old ones have issues already pushing back the fixes on long investments.
Test these updates instead of just adding to the game code.
GW is a disaster right now, GW is already a huge problem (Time wise). Turn meters are all over the place and are broken. Really hoping this isn't the case in arena. I was going to start a match but I'm quite frankly sick of doing your job for you.
Raids & protection- Back to back pushed out updates that have just added to this issue. I would have rather raids be pushed back until everything was working properly and more testing was done on this protection stat. Which ultimately ended up being a literal complete game changer. (Still no word on the nerfs they were looking into).
GW- How is this not fixed it was one of how many, 4 game modes for half a year? What were the dozen Client Restarts that took place this and last week, an Aurodium & crystal packs?
Arena dodging, you fixed Dookus Level 7 Leader ability (Actually you didn't) you just made it 100% worse. Evasion is out of control. Like I said test before PUSHING out updates,

I have not tried GW I just read this on other posts. @RAYRAY
I got through 7 nodes with the same team and then had to switch up a few teams based on match up. There were many times my teams's turn meter carried over from the previous node and most of my toons got to go first before anyone on the enemy team went. The way I see it is if they are going to make us fight fresh teams with full protection every node, they should let us go first:) I am not sure if this was intended or a bug but it is probably the best fix for GW yet.
That's a guaranteed bug, they would have added that they fixed GW in the update notes yesterday. That is a good idea though going first. Worried they will push out a GW fix today and it will just cause more issues.
Nice. This is about all players though not individual.
You need the right team to complete GW? Give us who's on your team and we can tell you what's wrong. You need to have some healers.
I told you what's wrong. Read.
This is the thing with galactic wars. Everyone has different experiences. Some say it's easy and some say it's hard. A lot of it depends on certain characters, levels, gear etc. For me galactic wars has become a nightmare. It's brutal, not fun and feels more like a chore than anything else. After the raid and guild update GWs got super tough. My main squad is at 33k power and with the addition of protection, seeing more squads with RG,Fives, and Rey in G9 gear or better makes it harder and harder to beat.
With that being said I don't wanna run GWs on auto~pilot. I just want it to be a tad bit fairer. I think the devs should reevaluate GWs. I understand why they gave characters protection, but in all honesty if I am to face a fully protected G9 gear team consisting on RG,Rey,Fives,Daka and a call assist, turn meter team then characters with lower protection doesn't even stand a chance even though they are leveled and geared up. I can easily lose 10 characters just trying to beat the protection stat down just so my main squad can beat that node. When that happens on 2 or mode nodes it's game over, impossible.
I wish they would just balance out the protection that all characters can have. A G9 RG has like 10 or more protection bars but a G9 Asoka has like what 4 or 5. I don't know..but to me it just doesn't make sense. This turn meter thing I don't know if it's a bug or not but today it was a lot easier even though I still had to use a suicide squad.
I don't have problems with the other issues you stated, but this one you mentioned really bothers me. Playing free, I had built up around 28 7* toons with gear and many I chose hadn't functioned properly. The bigger issue for me was that maybe 6-7 of those 28 were of any use outside of cannon fodder and that too saddened me. I can give a +1000 to this request, these fixes are long overdue. Scarier, I'd prefer to have the bugs fixed than receive new content overall!!!
That's how it feels for me a chore.
Yes it is one of the biggest issues if not the biggest. @ioniancat21
Devs keep pushing updates as and when you fix them.
As a software programmer myself I know some bugs are difficult to fix(takes time and testing) as you need to get your hands dirty in lots of places, refactoring etc. But yeah, please prioritize the bug fixing of characters.
Also rather than looking at other's posts and complaining GW does not work, please play once or twice and then complain. That way you can be better informed to give a detailed analysis first hand, rather than increasing your overall number of discussions.
Don'read what everybody else is sayin, try it yourself first. I think it's much easier too. I will need a week tho for my final decision.
+1 A sensible post.
It's a bug there's no need to.
ok.
Characters need to be fixed before new content is rolled out.
I know it's a struggle and I'm not expecting a perfect game.
Moreover it's a compromise cause we are always calling for more content.
What I have an issue with is the seemingly lack of focus.
This game right now has too much "width" but no "depth"
So much stuff rolled out this month; raids, UI changes, game tuning, cap increase, gear, etc.
I honestly don't know if all this is too much on the plate for them.
Right now I'm just seeing a tonne of stuff that is not optimized.
I'd much rather get one update a month, THAT WORKS, has been tested (by the dev's) and found to be functioning as promised.
Actually, it was more around 2006 when online gaming became more widespread. Often, prior to this, most people released games for non internet type consoles and ported it to PC, so it had to be tested before being released.
Now, with stable internet and even consoles getting hotfixes, there is no reason to finish a product when you can shove it out and see if it's even worth putting effort into fixing.
What job have you done for the devs? Have you reprogrammed coding? Have you created game code? Are you a game programmer that has changed code and sent it in? There is no beta test phase in updates. This isn't WoW or some mmo. GW is not a disaster, I run it in the same amount of time as before the update and have never had an issue completing it. What do you mean turn meters are all over the place? Each node is based on your previous match.
As for evasion and dodging, I don't see the issue, it's based on RNG. A 15% boost is pretty high when you combine it with base stats.
Protection was meant to be a game changer. I like the stat, it brought new strategy to the game.
Stop complaining, if you hate it so much, stop playing. Nobody is going to miss you.
Bug fixing on toons need to be #1 priority
And here is what's wrong with forum posters. We have a whole thread complaining about a bunch of stuff and the person complaining hasn't even tested to see what the affect is
That's ridiculous. How are devs supposed to separate the well reasoned parse from the untested made up stuff.
I'm not specificly targeting you but the constant whining without thinking first or even trying has got to stop.
Same here . It's not as hard as it seems in all honesty . I didn't precraft I have one main team that I could carry to the end with a possible suicide squad in between. More than not GW has gotten even easier.
Whenever you develop something new or add a feature, you want to assure you are working with a "known good" build, meaning that all previous bugs and issues were addressed and repaired before delving into new things. The purpose for this was that, if you are trying to build upon software that has bugs, your new feature may be affected by the existing bugs. When this happens, you now don't know if the new feature is bugged or if the existing bugs are making your new feature not work properly.
When you are in this mess, you have to then roll back your new feature to the previous build, fix the issue that is there and then re-apply your new feature and see if it now works as intended. This can be a nightmare and in my early days, I had this happen to me and let's just say, people were not happy and my life was not good, but lesson learned.
Fixing the existing bugs first is the standard, not an option to choose. I can imagine if you follow the template above, you'll have a lot less pain and time wasted since you now only have to look at the new content since bugs didn't exist until you applied the new feature, making your bug hunting much more efficient.
This thread is kinda reasonable compared to some others i've read. People in general have the tedency to state opinions like they are facts.
i'm pretty happy with the devs, just look how fast they fixed the doorpanel dodge. So they are able to separate some issue that they can adress quickly. Other issues probably need more attention to actually fix. The constant complaining about trivial issues is probably not helping anyone though.
