If you stick your tongue out on the left side, you get increased chance of shard drops, on the right side, you get training droids, and if you reply to a Prince in **** he'll give you a cut of the money he needs help to move if you only help a bit with up front costs.
Edit: Why is N i g e r i a censored? Are you trying to deprive that poor prince of his money? It's a conspiracy I tell you!!!! Weird, when I resaved after editing, it was no longer starred out.
The moment you press BUY, the server receives a packet notifying it to subtract 250 credits ( or grant you the free one ), then sends you back data with the contents of the pack. Then the animation plays, which you can skip, and you get the contents ( be it shard or whatever ). In no programming logic would they decide to complicate themselves. The skipping is mostly a placebo. Unless it can be determined with a lot of sampling, over 1000 pulls with and without, I'm thinking it's just the laws of probabilities at play.
Exactly this. If someone programmed the game in the way described in this thread I would have to ask if they were insane.
He would be fired.
One of the most important things in progrsmming is KISS. Same goes with theories about your drop este increasing or reducing if you make X Rolls in a row or if you let sn hour pass or if you do arena First or if you have bought chromium Packs or any other conspiracy theory. The most logical thing would be to keep it stupidly simple, and that's rolling a random number and compare it to a static drop chance, server side. Anything else is a lot of extra work, extra chances for bugs, and extra posibilities for people to exploit the system, with minimal or no gain in functionality
Lol got 2 hoth shards today. A lot of people doubting it but its seriously working for me. Its working so much I stopped believe its just "luck". I think the skip button does change what you get. I tested it so much now im pretty convinced that you'll get a bad drop if you rush the skip button. Im not going to say you are guaranteed a good drop every single time, that would be OP but I am getting sick drops every time I get the timing right.
So when you get a shard, it's working. And when you don't get a shard, you conclude it's because you didn't time it right and it doesn't count. There's a name for that, it's calles confirmation bias. I also get 100% success ratio if we only count the times I suceed
I think I've figured out how to get a shard, even new characters or up to 15 shards if I have the character already, every single time I open a bronzium pack.
Its hard to explain and some may even think I'm trolling, but no. I've tried this so much I have promoted talia. Like who actually wastes energy on talia? no one. I got her up to 5 stars with bronzium packs alone (currently at 22 shards). Got 15 shards for jc which helped me promote him to 5 stars. OMW to 6 now. I got an old daka, boba fett and bariss all in a matter of 2 weeks of opening bronziums.
So how do you do it you ask?
A millisecond, and im not joking, a millisecond away from the pack opening, you wanna press skip. It helps if you have a slower device, causes more lag=better chance to get a character or shard. Make sure you have the sound on. A better way to do it would be to listen out for the pack opening sound, the literal second it makes the sound to let you know the pack has been opened, you want to press skip. I have mastered it and im loving it. I've herd you can even get kylo from bronziums so im hoping for something good soon.
I'm not sure if this is a glitch or just pure dumb luck, but come on, this many shards and free heros? Im struggling to level them all up lol. I have 3k money left.

Sounds like holding 'B' when you toss a pokeball to have a better chance at catching a pokemon... took me at least a year to break that habit.
I was looking forward for this. xD Though I used to spam it instead of holding it, iirc. Or was it 'A' button instead of 'B'?

You dont get 5 shards in a row. Its just not possible with the amazingly low drop rates. But I did. Well lets just blame it on my luck I guess and I can enjoy my free shards while everyone else is stuck with those crappy 300-700 credit drops either way I dont care what people do with this information lol
Just did 4 and well, the one time i timed it right I happened to get a Teebo shard. Then again yesterday got two shards in a row so maybe they bumped the droprate ever so slightly
I think the bronzium loot improves with player level, including more shards. Just a guess, though. It could just be that by the time we are high level we have looted a lot more shards, so it seems that way.
Even if this did work, you post it on the official GOH forums? Way to bring it directly to the dev's attention. Brilliant.
I would assume that if you publicly inform the devs of something that you don't think is an exploit, even if it is a problem under the terms of use, they would be inclined to be lenient. Plus fairness issues generally.
While I am highly skeptical that this method does anything, and agree re the tendency to see cause and effect, I try to be open-minded - I have come across references in the past to computer or timing issues (e.g. an online contest where there was a reset at a particular time of night and entries either just before or just after were more likely to win something, a mathematician who discovered a pattern in winning keno numbers at a Quebec casino, etc.) that I wouldn't criticize someone for trying it or keeping track of results over some period of time, since it costs nothing to try.

While I don't disagree with you *per se*, the idea of jiggering the RNG drop from bronzium based on a user's chromium purchase habits would be a dirty bit of social engineering that could actually show a positive ROI on the dev time to implement.
Note: I'm not saying that they ARE doing this, but don't for a second think that there aren't devs working on mobile games with micro transactions that don't have social engineering as their prime focus to generate more revenue.
Yes, of course it's random. But "random" doesn't mean that you have an equal chance at any item. The RNG could easily be pulling an item at random, but every item/shard/toon can be given different weight attributes. So, if there are 100 possible different pull-able items (for argument's sake), while you have a random chance at Lando, that doesn't mean that your odds at getting Lando are 1/100.
So, if we accept that the dev's are making certain outcomes more/less likely by adjusting the "weight" of the odds for each item as an item attribute, why is it outlandish to assume that they would also give "odd's weight" attrributes to individual players, and that these weighted odds aren't dynamically generated by your activity history (who you have in your collection, how much you've spent in the last 7 or 30 days, etc). If you think that they are not capturing that user data then you are crazy.
I'm not trying to be paranoid. I'm just saying that if they AREN'T doing this, then they are effectively leaving $$ on the table.
Haven't gotten a shard Ina while. They must have lowered the drop rate!!
Of course they didn't. It's random.
Believe what you want bro, Im just sharing my experience with bronziums. And I dont think its "random" or "already decided" as soon as you press buy. As I've said many times now, it works for me and it can work for you. Just keep trying
I always press skip right away. I really don't think it makes a difference.
However, I do notice in the past few days I have been getting more shards from bronzium cards. I the developers may have bumped up the drop rate on that. However, I don't think it's related to when you press the skip button.
Bronzonian is biggest rip off ever.
Same as everything else EA does with its " random " bull
Like spending 5 days farming 5/5 blue mats = just der.
Then when you need 2x 20/20 mats even der der.
Nice one EA on your useless random and over matted gear requirements.
I always open them while a Star Wars movie is running in the background. If it's episode 4-6 I get a shard, episode 2-3 I get ten training droids, and episode 1 then I get 300 credits and this weird laughing in the background that sounds like Jar-Jar.
Just saying.

Wow you are really angry! You rage in every thread
Bronzium are free packs... How is that a ripoff? Oh noeees they taken my allypoints. I was about to buy a new house and a vacation to Bora Bora with my allypoints. Yesterday I went to the bar to get hammered, but EA took all my allypoints I opened 5 bronzium packs, I didn't even get a 4* Kylo Ren.
How can you even whine about bronzium? lol
So I don't believe in this kind of stuff. I just usally skip and I get a shard say every 20 Bronzium packs or so.
But I decided to pay attention and listen to the spinning and catch the right moment and holy sh! t it works! Nah too much coincidence, tried it again, worked again ... tried a third time I missed the window and didn't get a shard. HA! I knew it doesn't work! I tried fourth time it worked ... I tried 5th time it worked ... tried 6th time it worked ... and now I'm writing my findings here XD
Believe what you want, but this is how I got mine to work:
- You see the card get inserted
- The wheel start spinning
- You have to pay attention to the spinning sound
- There are three types of sounds going on: 1. The background music, 2. The spinning of the wheel, 3. Wobbling sound once it opens, which only happens after the fact, but can confuse you.
- Practice a few times listening ONLY to the spinning of the wheel, when that sound is just about to end, Press Skip, it has to be done at the right time
- Say for instance the wheel spins for exactly 3.05 seconds from the exact moment it gets inserted to the point when it opens on its own without hitting SKIP, you want to hit it at around 1.65-1.75 seconds after the key gets inserted.
Good Luck and feel free to flame me for my random luck, but I'm going to keep doing it.

Well I've been using it for about 3 weeks now. Thought it was time to let people know so others can get shards too.
