New players Kanan and Ezra are must farms.

They are the only 2 characters able to Unlock Palpatine, Yoda and Thrawn at once.

So if your on a new account those two will take up 2 of 5 needed spaces of each event.

Ezra is a beast. You need to feel the power of the specific assist. Moreover, Watch and Learn doesn't count as an attack, so it works with Ackbar's leader ability.

Ackbar, Tactical Genius
Ezra, Watch and Learn on Leia
Leia, Three attacks
Ezra, Two attacks
One other rebel, (maybe Biggs!) Attack
Ezra, immediate reset
Ezra, either two more attacks OR Flourish to bring TM to 50% to get you closer to doing it all over again

I also just realized using Ezra and Kanan to get Thrawn and Palps will get you 2 empire characters for R2-D2

Seriously, I already read what are written in megathread. However, are you sure that Thrawn is Yoda/EP/R2 style event? So far I see it's just a rumour until the detail is revealed when the event landed eventually.

Phoenix is EXTREMELY effective in the GW, for example.

@bolobaby is right about ezra... i been using jyn/ezra/hera/leia with foo or zarris in gw for fun... lots of offense here... you can get a potential x12 hits from leia, x2 hits from ezra, x2 hits from jyn, all in 1st turn. Hera can revive foo/zarris and jyn can revive the others so the obvious squishiness is not to big of a deal... plus its way more fun than chazing through gw...

And I want to know the effects of a Zeta'd number crunch with Kannan and Ezra (both rebel and Jedi) or even chopper (Droid and rebel).... Perhaps a pheonix + R2 could be viable in arena. (PS. I agree with the more to game then Arena post)

As a newer player (lvl 54 playing constantly) is it worth farming Ezra and kanan when double drops hit for flash? Will we need all 5 Phoenix chars to do the flash event?
