Possible TB Phase Bug and Map Question

Until today we've have earned 1 Star, or better, in every Territory. Last night we were a few points away from getting one star in Snowfields (center p5) but we missed it. Today, we are in Phase 6 and yet Snowfields is still open; someone deployed there and we got a star. Should Snowfields have stayed open? Do stars earned a day late count?
Also, Imperial Flank is locked even though we earned a star in Forward Stronghold. The map shows a clear entry point from Stronghold to Flank, so shouldn't it be unlocked even though we didn't get a star in Snowfields? I can see that Snowfields doesn't unlock Imperial Landing but the map shows that Stronghold shares borders with both Imperial Flank and Landing. I do hope that borders are not drawn arbitrarily. Map strategy would be a really fun part of this game mode but maybe that wasn't intended. Did the borders become decorative after phase 2?

This is working as intended. If you complete one map with at least 1*, it will open the next map once the Phase moves forward. Maps which were not completed at a minimum of 1* will remain open until the end of the Territory Battle, so players still have a chance to complete that map and move forward.

So what are the odds that the next Terrority battle will be totally different players that we upgraded for this thing.

Thanks for clarifying. What about the map issue? Was this a glitch? If not, are there plans to fix it?
