GA - 3 vs 3 strategy and player lock in questions?

Hi all. When is the player lock in? I think GA is starting today 5pm EST, is lock in right at that time? Or is it as soon as you enter? I am wondering if I can wait until midnight tonight until everything refreshes as I will have more $$ to spend before entering and hopefully changes made will be active there.

Also wondering about 3 vs 3 this will be my first time fighting this way. If I am under 1.25 Mil GP, will we still only set defense in 3 zones + Ships, and fight in Offense in same number of zones?

As far as teams, I have seen a couple sites/documents showing good 3 toon teams, but I don't have many of those top toons. What I have is:

Empire - No DN or Sion. Thinking zEP, DV, Prawn on Offense
FO - No tank other than Kru. Thinking zKRU, Kylo(no Z), Fox on Defense
Jedi - No Revan. I have Jolee but thinking Bastilla, Yoda, Erza on Offense,
BH - No Zetas. Thinking Fett, Bossk, Greedo on Defense. I could sub out someone & Jango in, but Greedo is a rockstar and 75% counters w/ payout. Bossk only 4*, Jango too.
Rebels - No CLS or Chewy yet, close! Have Solo, Leia, was thinking Old Ben with them Offense?

My 3rd team on Defense is usually Phoenix, not sure they will work well 3 vs 3, seems not. Really I only have 6 strong teams, and they are one of them, so not sure what I will do for 3rd Def team. I have a NS team but my paper Zombie is still, paper... (#*_)#*)_)#&*). I may have to throw together a leftover mix for the 6th team on Defense I guess

Lock in is when the join period ends. Sign up asap, and any upgrades you do during the join period will still count.

Thanks a lot for the reply. I don't know, I just don't think I like the 3 vs 3 overall, I could see why some would like it just for something different, but so many teams lose the good synergy their built on. Another thing, is trying to guess what teams your opponent will make, and put in what zones is really near impossible 3 vs 3, so the whole thing just becomes a crapshoot.

One more question for someone. It says 4 territories each side, then it says 4 total squads if < 1.25 mil GP

Is that 4 total per territory so = 16 total, or is it really only 4 total, so 1 in each territory?

I think they need to update the amount of squads needed cause the original set up was including ships. Now my squad only gp is around the 1.1mil but I'm pretty sure I'll have to set more than 4 squads. And it's not 4 per section it's overall.
