No you're wrong, I, for one, have never closed a thread with EA or CG in the title. I just edit the title to mean the same thing as the OP intended without the call out. I appreciate your help though.
Without Wookie these forums would be a complete disaster. While other mods help, he generally keeps this place nice and tidy. I wouldn't attack him like that, seems completely unfair.
If you define playing a game as hitting the Sim button repeatedly, then yes.
Do you guys always auto your fights if you don't use sim? I only use sim to get rid of them then I play without any auto. Even just to get gear. But then again I'm only level 52, started around when I got my s7.
The issue that just killed the player base is the Gear change, end of story. Some didn't want the level increase but they lost it once this last change was added.
Players were already off balance with the meta change, not knowing who to promote to Level 80. Now they have serious gear upgrade issues, great job EA!!!

You cannot definitively say that the small gear change is the cause of people not wanting to play anymore. You have no idea what their future plans are, and what will be added in due time.

After some thought I understand the xp situation. What I dont understand, and this is something that makes ZERO sense, is the last minute gear change with absolutely no way to farm said gear. Anyone who had some gear pre patch will have a massive advantage for a long time. Worse, they added those stupid gold mats. Players asked for less grind....it gets 10 times worse.

Nothing wrong with that. Why is that a big deal? There is no "Right" or "Wrong", I was one of the People that thought it would be nice to have the exp reward converted to credits.

This sucks. What if I change my mind? Or if they nerf a toon I am upgrading? I'm F2P and before this s tu pid level cap increase I was happy to have a choice between my best 11-12 toons. I could try different teams, and so on. Now, back to the start: pick up only 5 of them and leave the others, because I don't have resources for 12 lv 80 toons...

But if it must absolutely be done, it must be done with lots of care and listening to what the players think can fix it, and not ninja nerfs.
The whales just like to be on top. Whales, rest assured your auto-upgrade didn't work, but FTP will not char have up to you for 2 months or so. Also, game will last more for you. Hoarding gear already gave you a HUGE advantage because you crafted a lot of gear with the old recipe, and the FTP not only did not, but now is even harder than you with 1/3 of the energy refreshes.
I think initial reaction for many is wth. But if you reed deep down there are good reasons for the change:
This change helps people that didn't stockpile, and avoids having 10% of the player base being level 8 in 17 seconds, absolutely disrupting everyone. It also limits Whale Absolute Supremacy (WAS) and rewards actually playing the game every day. It also forces people to be very very selective on who to upgrade with lasting consequences in team setup.
You may like it or not but I see why they did this change. Also, the NEW gear requirements help slow down whales. They can get to level 8 very fast refreshing like true madmen, but they can't have geared up all the new gear in advance. Otherwise, they would have instantly geared EVERY TOP CHAR to max gear (some even 11) making Arena totally Hoardable by ththe m regardless of how sound their choices where. They will still gear up much faster than FTP but they will also have less information into what works best in the new meta. FTP will suffer but less than otherwise, but can watch what works best as to not invest their extremely limited refreshes on c rap.

To try to slow them down only cripples the other 99% of the players, not sure how that makes any since at all. Personally I do not care what they did, all I care about is content and that was not added. But you can not have a game that promotes players to spend their money then penalize them for doing so. The game is NOT trying to do anything for the "whales" as it needs them, so they can not stock pile as much energy, they can credits which allows them to buy more daily.

For a FTP it takes about 13 days without refreshes to get 1 of those 50 gears required... We all like the game and put up, but eventually patience will run out... But I think everyone should be able to get to lvl 80 and MAX gear right away....with no grinding...it should only take a couple hair dryers to get from lvl 8 gear to lvl 20 gear. Why would people want it to be difficult to up a toons gear? Everything should be very simple and easy. I'm so upset I'm gonna go leave a 1 star rating on Google play

13 days if you use 129 energy. But daily game offers two Missions energy refills, which cuts time to 7 days. There's bonus energy (another refill) that cuts time in 1/3 or about 4 days. And two energy refills a day is 100 crystals which most everyone that plays get for free everyday, making that grind 1 day and 12 hours.

Never understand why people think the Dervs hates "whales", lol they want everyone to be "whales". They don't hate you @XCOM ( @BentWookiee might, jk) they want player to pay. If you don't pay anything they need you to feel like you have to, if you do pay then you feel like you obligated (like me) to stick with the game. Win/win for them, the players who hold their resolve are the ones this game absolutely needs to stay alive, but you will always be tempted by the Dervs.

I was thinking a cool idea - an olive branch at least - would be retro active (even if it's a percentage) exp points. Is it pretty safe to say that a large majority of players accrued exp Over the past two months just from gearing up? Only in instances when there's a big gap in updates, but I think it would be cool.
Another thing that would be interesting is trading resources between allies (gear and shards - not crystals or credits).
When people got to level 70 there were threads that were complaints about "wasted exp".
There were far more threads about how people would prefer not to have the level cap increased yet.
Most polls were 85% (at least) opposed to level cap increase. CG/EA didn't listen to those - what makes you think they listened to the tiny handful of posts to which you are referring?
People have asked for better communication for months - we got "surprised" instead.
People have asked for new content - we got Yoda...for the 3rd time.
People have asked for less grinding - we got more.
I like you Wookie - if you want to mod, that's cool, but don't try to wade in, towing the company line, **** on our heads and tell us it's raining.

Reason is it requires client update, and also hints the update is around the corner.
