Everyone knew the cap raise was coming, and this isn't the first one so unless you're a wet behind the ears noob, you knew what to expect and you ought to have prepared for it. If you were too obtuse to put two and two together yourself, there was ample warning on the forums from the moment the update notes went live.

I have not been too quick to judge the changes and in thinking about it, The max level needed to get a new ability mat is probably the best part of the patch. I now know that I don't need to hoard a great number of purple mats for my A and B team, I can feel free to use them on improving my C and D teams over the longer time it takes to get to 80. This and the gear changes helps players if you are honest with yourself. See, there is going to be a big balancing patch in a few weeks. How many would complain that they used all of their gear/purple ability mats on toons that are no longer quite as strong. It gives us an opportunity to have the mats needed when the balance happens to raise up a character or two that receive buffs.

I make number #27 on my server all the time and don't even have a fully starred team. That being said my server has been around since before the force awakens came out so its fully matured.

When the fun stops for me i'll be out without announcing that i am leaving. Right now i am really enjoying it and not seeing anything that would stop me from doing so.
I have fun playing. I have even more fun reading all the cry babies. I completely agree with op. Taking it a step further, coaching my 9 year old basketball team and they stop keeping score when a team is up 10. Of course I kept score and let the team know how many they actually scored.
Most of the whiners are in the non keeping score category. They want it all to be fair. They want communism or socialism. It's comicAl.
I think most people have little to no issues- it's just that those people aren't going to post about everything being fine whereas people who whine tend to be the ones posting. In any case, I also feel like there has been too many whiny brats lately. If I were EA/CG I'd intentionally do something like this to remove them from the community. Besides, most of those people add little value to the game and its community anyways. They also drown out people with legitimate complaints and make it nearly impossible to have any kind of productive discussion by constantly insulting devs and anyone else with a differing opinion.
And about you staying in top 20/10 with a full jedi team, i would appreciate a screenshot with the 1-20 ranks in your shard, to see what teams the whales are using and how different they are from the common Dooku/ GQJ squads.

The real issue is the unfarmable gear and being able to pre-craft, it just made this update a mess, if they added new 50 piece gear, fine, you grind it, but when you can't and others were able to pre-craft, that's the problem
How is that game breaking? You can't make top 5 on your server anymore? The HORROR!!!
for F2P like me, yes that's horror indeed when you can not place top and lose the crystal rewards. soon one might have difficulty clearing GW because higher level teams with higher gears showing up, so you will lose on credits and GW tokens. without those 2 rewards, there is no point for F2P to even play this game.

Because it's too hard to make choices! Stop the qq, if anything you can copy paste from the whales instead of making the wrong decissions again if you reached lvl 80 in week. If you truly are f2p you would also suffer from a meta change which happens as well. In other words how to satisfy people like you? Stay 70 for a year without changing meta? Stop typing, start playing.
People also complain about the amount of sidious' in GW, I can guarantee you will see less Sid in GW = win for f2p. There is so much more than the primary focus on the Arena results.

Today I abandoned my Jedi team for Clones though. It's more fun to play a variety of teams.
