First Order Faction - A.I Question’s

Prev13
I acquired the First Order Faction from the BB8 Light Speed Bundle.
I have been looking thru the First Order Faction trying to create a team.

I think the team I created could be explosive!
The problem is the A.I computer seems to be playing it wrongly on Auto!

How can I fix the A.I computer so it plays my team right?
Is there any way to do it?

Buy CG and re code the game to do what you want.

All I need is First Order Officers A.I to use Marching Order skill and to target Captain Phasma every time.
It would make the team be insane!

    Hmmmmmmm, Tricky situation indeed.

The A.I Computer wants to do the move Pinning Shot on Auto.
I don’t understand why it wants to do that move.

On turn 1, The move Pinning Shot at lvl 8 reduces the cool down of First Order Characters skills by 1.
None of the First Order Characters skills are on cool down at turn 1?

Do people gear him to be last on the team?
I feel like he should be going first on the team.

    It doesn’t make any sense.

This was my First Order team.
I named it Perfection because I believe the set up was utterly brilliant.

It’s going to be sad if the team isn’t functional on Auto.
The First Order Office seems to be doing something random.

    GAC:
I am thinking Kylo (Unmasked) is best because he increases Speed + Critical Damage

    My strategy is the following:

1- First Order Office as my fastest character
FOO does 100% TM on Captain P.

2- Captain P. takes a turn increases TM of whole team by 50% + Gives Advantage

3- FOSF Tie Pilot does AOE Defense Down

4- Sith Trooper with increased C.Damage from Leader skill + Advantage + Def Down on enemy should unleash the most devastating AOE hit imageable.

The Enemy team should ideally be dead at that point. Maybe, 1 of the tanks could live at which point my last hero goes

    5- Kylo(Unmasked) does Stun

    —————

5 on 1 with enemy hero Stunned.
It should be Game Over at that point!

And that set up brings me back to my Old Summoner War days!

    The Cleave is back baby!
The Enemy Player just got Lushen’ed!

    ————

    Territory Wars:
The Leader might change, but order shouldn’t change to much

    1- Captain P.
    2- FOO
    3- Captain P.
    4- FOSF
    5- Sith T.
    6- Kylo

The set up runs great on Auto except for FOO.
All the other heroes do the right moves.

If FOO did his other move and targeted Captain P the whole time, it would be so amazing.

Then don’t put it on Auto? Seems to solve your primary issue
  • Options
I thought about not running FOO and only running Captain P.

However, Captain P. is to slow to be a Leading Character in GAC.

Captain P. Base speed is like 141.
    Gideon would smoked her.
    Mara Jade would smoke her.

FOO has the highest base speed in the First Order faction excluding the GL.

I feel like I would need him for the speed.

    You might be right.
The team might not be a Defensive team.
It might be an Offense only team.

I was hoping there was a way to fix FOO so I could set it the team on defense in GAC.
Based on what others have said, it might not be a defensive option.

I did more testing with my team on Auto.
I’m starting to think there is a Bug.

I’m confused on what FOO move is actually doing.

After FOO does Pinning Shot, He heals himself.
I don’t understand how he is healing himself.

I also don’t see him giving Turn Meter or Reducing Cool Downs on the rest of my team.

Is anybody else experiencing the same thing?

You need to give much more context than this.

What team are you facing? What game mode?

I was playing on Auto in Dark Side Campaigns.
I can’t remember the exact stage because I am away from my PC at the moment.

    I faced Hoth enemies.
I think it is floor 6 in normal stages.
It was like 6-8 or something.
I have been playing it on 1x speed to watch FOO + the teams moves on auto.

Your FOO has 15% Health Steal in his kit.

He also only has 3 mods equipped. Might want to sort that out.

    Thank you.
I didn’t know Health Steal was a thing.

The move FOO is doing on auto is from the below picture.

I saw the Healing, but I haven’t seen FOO do any of the other things.

Both my First Order teams are made.
I am very happy with the teams.

Sadly, The A.I Computer seems to play them wrong.
I will have to find a better A.I Compatible team to use on GAC Defense & in Squad Arena on Auto

The first thing most attack actions do is apply damage. If that damage is enough to kill the enemy, then the process is finished, and nothing else happens.

That ability order of operations will be:
    Apply damage.
    Tenacity check to remove tm.
Tm gets removed (if tenacity check failed)
If tm was removed, apply tm to allies.

But due to the kill, nothing after apply damage happens.

The wording in the ability text is not 100% clear if tm needs to be removed to get the cooldowns reduced. The gg ability breakdown could answer that, but I'm not interested enough to look.

Your toons aren't gonna do what you want them to do on auto most of the time. That's why auto isn't the best thing when doing more complicated fights. Luckily you have reliced toons going through normal and hard nodes so auto away but you should learn to manually.

I'm pretty sure auto on offense isn't always the same as AI on defense. Even if it were, it still wouldn't be analogous to AI on defense playing against a live player. I see what you're doing and why you're doing it but I'm not sure it works the way you think it does.

I would highly recommend looking at your characters on swgoh.gg and finding what are the most common team compositions that people use - that may give you some insights. You're also missing some zetas and omegas - which is to be expected, but those zetas and omegas are important and relevant to your choices regarding team composition.

Just seems you're maybe trying to reinvent the wheel here. Someone has already drawn the blueprint. On the up-side you're learning the kits, so there's that.

I did check on SWGOH to see other First Order team composition’s.
The problem is the team composition’s they show don’t have any explanation.

    I even checked different Youtubers.
I saw team composition’s for the First Order by Youtubers.

The problem is a few of them didn’t know why the heroes were used.
They just said this is the team which they seemed to have copied from others.

A few of the teams I saw felt like the team set up didn’t have a clear cut strategy.
The other set ups I saw felt weak or lacking to me.

Again, I am new to the game.
These set ups could be 100% fine and I simply just don’t understand them.

However, I am trying to build the team with experience I have based on playing different Turn base games throughout my life time.

Going First & Hitting Hard with the aim of killing your opponent before they have a chance to go is a strategy.
It’s a very crude strategy, but it is often very effective.

It doesn’t matter if I never played SWGOH before.
The strategy isn’t exclusive to SWGOH.
It is a universal strategy which can work in many turn base games.

The team I am trying to build with FOO is a Go first & hit hard team.
The team I am trying to build with Hux is a Go second, counter attack, & tank team

You can either try to reinvent the wheel or just use tried and true teams that have been used for years.

In any case the first order team is one of many that require rather high speed that’ll allow you to take a few back to back turns, if the composition is correct. Yours wouldn’t be that correct composition if your goal is going first and hitting hard.

In reality there’s just one really good first order team lineup before SLKR

What do you think a tried and true First Order team looks like?

KRU, Hux, Sith Trooper, FOO, FO Stormtrooper for defense.

Swap Hux and KRU for offense, FO Stormtrooper can be subbed for FOSFTP.

The leftovers generally go under Phasma but they’re not great by any means.

This all of course is without SLKR in mind.

On Auto, the A.I Computer likes doing the following:

    - KR - AOE
    - KRU - Stun/Taunt
    - Hux - Grant Ally Turn which seems to be random
    - Sith Trooper -
If team doesn’t have Advantage, the AI does Resurgent to put Advantage on team.
If team does have Advantage prior to his turn, the AI does Vengeant which is AOE.
    - FOO - Pinning Shot which does nothing
    - FO Stormtrooper - TM + Taunt
    - Captian P. - TM + Advantage
    - FOSFTP - AOE + Def Down
